Am I the only one that thinks the musical artists literally watched Majima's (And Kiryu's too) moves intensely to make situations like this possible? I mean that really seems like a Yakuza dev team thing to do. Heck even a few bosses handed me my butt on a musical platter before!
maybe it is intentional. i noticed that most yakuza osts have different styled bpms depending on how fast a character's combat style is, so they definitely thought about it, you can kind of hear it on the song one-eyes slugger where the music seems to make little rests to sync with the clanging of the bat

i know im a diehard fan of the yakuza series so im biased but it shoulda been bigger than it was. cant think of a more likeable, but also imperfect at times protagonist like Kiryu and such great supporting characters like Majima, Saejima Akiyama etc each with tremendous character arcs.
Doesn't Yakuza combat music scale with what you're doing? I know it changes when switching between styles, but I thought heat actions had their own riffs too.
nah, heat actions just go along with whatever part of the song is currently playing when you perform it. Heat actions doesn’t change up the current playing music tune during battle. But, the final boss fights in Yakuza zero for both kiryu and majima, the music changes when you get to the final phases of those fights.
Complete entire cabaret club part and beat the last guy and during his fight u will get a revelation then you go in pause and press triangle idk what it is for pc I think right click it should tell u anyway but yes u do that then u have the style
this game is full of these unintentional music syncs, its fucking beautiful.
