Say what you will about Joe Rogen, but he's essentially actually what Dave Rubin claims to be. Central and open-minded to various view points whether right or left. Massive respect when he cuts through bullshit like this.
Shadow Might This is true he is really what Dave Rubin pretends to be. Don't get me wrong I don't respect the whole I'm open to all ideas BS in this day and age especially online because I feel the overton window has shifted too far right.
Yeah Rogan is what Rubin wants to be, but somehow ended up the opposite of. Rubin started out talking to anyone from any political leaning, but now I'd say it is 90% right wing or libertarian guests. The main difference is Rogan calls out BS and pushes back against guests. Rubin smiles and agrees with everyone almost all of the time. Rubin is a garbage interviewer, Rogan is excellent.
@@alienanxiety rubin platforms BS and lets even the dumbest and most indefensible claims pass through as if they have any validity thus further radicalizing parts of his audience. Spineless.
He's not centrist and open minded, he's a lukewarm, dithering yesman to anyone he's interviewing. And politically he's an absolute dummy.
He’s actually a progressive left wing voter, he endorsed Bernie since you made this comment. He’s just open minded and allows people to speak their mind on his show. Which is why he’s so loved.

'When I give food to the poor, they call me a saint. When I ask why the poor have no food, they call me a communist.' - Dom Helder Camara
Space force season 1 had a joke similar to this
@Guillermo Lombana Sure they exist and the Teachers at those schools often have to pay out of their own pocket for basic supplies (Which by the way, their Salary is barely a living wage to begin with). But do you ever see cops having to buy their own guns or bullets, or showing up to Protests with Trash Can Lids for shields while using Sling Shots to keep people back? This is what people mean by "Defund the Police". It doesn't mean get rid of them, it just means spread the wealth around a bit and you probably wouldn't have so many protests. Cops have every single thing they need in the most state of the art fashion possible, even Military Grade. Meanwhile US bridges and roads are literally falling apart to the point that for what is considered a 1st World Country the US has like a "D" Rating on infrastructure. So yeah, Public Schools do exist, but they EXTREMELY UNDER FUNDED, the Teachers are underpaid, have to use their own money for supplies and of course this all leads to a poor education, which leads to an uneducated society that has very limited job opportunities (Wait for it) except for, of course I don't know, the Police force or the Military. Hmmm, it's almost like it's at least a pattern if not a plan.
@@Peaches4Rent That show is funny, but it's no joke.
Why is it when a businessman takes advantage of tax incentives or loopholes he is considered a visionary, but when a poor person takes advantage of a government assistance program for food or healthcare they are considered moochers or lazy?
David Harms maybe because the businesses are being productive and poor people taking welfare by definition are not producing anything? And its a moot point because if your dumbass actually knew anything about immigration u would know immigrants come here to work, not to get welfare
Rampant commercialism and Corporatism brain washing is why. North American society has simply been brain washed into thinking that the Elitist lifestyle is what they should be striving for, and that anyone who is among the Elites is a deserving person, regardless of how they achieved that status.
Because poor people is bad and rich people is good because only good people succeed in life.
Capitalism. When the gov is half gov and half corporations, the gov will start to see regular ppl using gov funds as lazy moochers
Depends on your definition of "takes advantage". One is avoiding someone taking your money that you worked to make and the other is taking money that could possibly go to someone that actually needs it or can't physically or mentally go out and work for themselves while you can.
Rogan should not be put in the same camp as Rubin or Peterson. I think he genuinely wants to figure out the best way to conduct government and society and him just talking to the crazies shouldnt devalue his opinion
As3sinoL0C0 yeah hes quite a unique voice in politics. He's so his own thing. It's hard to place him.
I think Peterson wants that as well. Rubin is an idiot.
He even identifies as on the left, so, he can be pinpointed if you actually pay attention.
sbcurley
Peterson should stop saying stupid shit to do it. He changes his opinion based on who asked the question, Joe Rogan let's anybody speak their mind, and that doesn't mean he agrees. Peterson is a fucking try hard, and he fails at it due to lack of consistency.
Like like like
why doesn't he bring these ideas when he has his right winger friends? I like Joe but he's got to speak up when his guests spew garbage.
Please link me to any of his guests that specifically supported what he was talking about in this clip. Good luck.
He does! How about you actually listen to the episodes rather than going with the default idea that if he has on a guest you disagree with therefore he must agree with the guests position.
I used to like MR until I realized it was nothing but the other side of the same coin as right wing radio.
It benefits you as a thinking person to actually listen to what the other side has to say and thinks rather than having it filtered though Sam and his studio.
LightRuler003 thats not how the show works. You're confused
Kravis63 people like you are why the overton window keeps shifting right. The guests he chooses do say something about him whether he agrees or pushes back in the episode. Why hasn't he talked to David Duke or Richard Spencer? Because they're considered outside of rational political discourse.
"why doesn't he bring these ideas when he has his right winger friends? I like Joe but he's got to speak up when his guests spew garbage."
He does though. He's just calm about it.
No one every mention how big companies get money from the corporate welfare system for themselves after mismanaging them like the bank bailout, but always pick on the little people getting help with the bases food needs, health care, things to just live everyday. Where corporations are just getting more and more wealth and not passing the wealth to their employees and it's our money their getting. My mother had a friend that lost everything during the 2008 housing crash, she was a realtor and was reduced to public assistance with her two daughters and son. This was a republican who believe you pull yourself up by the bootstrap kind of person. She now understands that the crap she was talking was just that crap. She's back on her feet and is an independent voter. She's in the game fighting against the Trump era because she understands the truth of these programs and how valuable they are to anyone just to live in hard times.
Simon 's that realtor lady was fucked over by the bureaucrats in Washington, not her conservative values. Its not a conservative value to artificially inflate the housing bubble by federally backing any and all home loans to a certain class of citizens, the class least responsible and least likely to make their mortgage payments. The 08 crash happened because of government intervention into the market, not because of the free market.
1% own us. Face facts. But it doesn’t mean we have slave down to their level.
Y O the 1%? Lol this channel is full of conspiracy nuts.
Y O so you respond with another conspiracy theory?😂😂 you dumbasses never learn
Mr. Pants no just facts, but we will pay for it later. 😂😂🤣. No biggie though. Will not be my generation suffering. Only got a few years left on this planet at the most. But I’ve been there done that and I can see what’s going on. 😁😂😁
Wow rogan devolved alot since then
what has changed?
i knew there was a reason why i liked rogan.
jacqueline lemaire same. I don’t agree with everything Rohan says or thinks but he has valid points at times
This is one clip . As of lately Joe has let his racist side slip out here and there he was basically trying to show he does have a heart . Because he's been getting criticised about his options on blacks , Hispanics and gays . Three groups he clearly has a problem with and struggles too show respect and give a voice or platform on his show
Rogan is is genuine, only one in the IDW that I respect
Daniel gough, you don't respect sam harris ?
I don't, he does this a lot. He's just like Kanye's annoying ass.
Breaking news, conservatives now turn on Joe Rogan.
Brandon Smisek i hope not. Joe has done a pretty good job helping ppl see what they have in common
surelyU Rcrazy no, that’s not how it works.
If you turn on Joe Rogan over this, then you're a clear POS.
Bam Bam Zuniga I agree, but I'm sure there are most definitely people doing it.
Brandon Smisek yup
I think Rogan's soliloquy suggests to things:
1) all of the criticism Rogan has received from the left--in short, that he's been an alt-right doormat--has had an effect.
2) the anti-SJW dumb ass shit has decisively crested
Oh this is 3 years old,Jesus. This take aged like fine wine, in an era when the internet was really fascist
Anything to you guys is fascist
Once Joe Rogan puts on that hippie shirt he totally changes XD.
Daniel Moctezuma he always felt this way. He's been saying it for years.
Daniel Moctezuma lmaoo
that's actually a UFC shirt based on fighter Sean O'Malley
It's also Duncan that brings out the hippie in him a lot, they're just passing joints throughout the whole thing haha
He changes his views based on what guest he has on & whether or not they are "convincing" enough to him.
Joe did a really great job of singling out certain people, we all know them. People who believe everyone should suffer at least as bad as they did as revenge for them having to suffer at all. They are miserable people that are hard to feel sorry for, at a certain point a person can get so miserable that it actually makes you feel good that it was them and not you, they got there because they deserved it and the attitude reflects that.
J1E2TS I disagree most of the gross suburbanite conservatives are in such a comfort bubble in their cul-de-sac that they literally can't conceive of human suffering. They're completely de-sensitized and are only activated politically when they're told their way of life is being threatened.
crypto jones That's a fascinating generalization. Replace "conservative" with "liberal" and that's exactly what the fringe right-wingers think about liberals.
@@cryptojones4848 you're 100% right.
@@Breadbored. the difference is it's true for right wingers. They do live in a bubble and lack empathy because they have no perspective.
Why didn't he bring this passion on immigration when he was interviewing his Intellectual Dark Web flunkies the past couple weeks?
Because despite what the climate nowadays would have you believe, you can actually agree with someone on some things, and disagree on others. You can find that a person is more salient and insightful on one topic, and less or (or not all) or another. You can want to talk to someone for this kind of conversation or that kind of conversation, etc. etc.
I know it might be a tough scenario to envision, but it is possible for two people with opposing ideological views to be friends and provide value to one another. *GASP*
There's value to human expression and interaction beyond that team you've perceived them to be a part of.
There's a finite amount of time and people have moods. There is a momentum and flow to a conversation. If it's going one way and both parties are enjoying it, why should they talk about what YOU want to talk about or expect them to talk about?
Are you living in the real world? It's normal human being type stuff.
To my knowledge no one else in the IDW has strong opinions on the matter. Just Joe. He would have gotten a shoulder shrug and a head nod. Besides he’s just virtue signaling to balance out people’s perception of him after all the IDW involvement.
I love how having a set of values you don't share can just be shrugged off as "virtue signaling". Morality as a whole is just "virtue signaling". Must be really freeing, to live in utter denial that right and wrong exist in other formulations than the one you happen to embrace.
He brought the pain to Rubin, he wasn't equipped to deal with JP, and he bend down and spread his asshole for Steven Crowder.
How can somebody watch this and think Joe Rogan is right wing? And his audience is full of all different political backgrounds.
Joe Secord Joe basically believes in don’t be an asshole. I wholeheartedly agree with that. I don’t care what your economic believes are but just don’t be an asshole.
He is a moderate right winger.
I respect he not just listens to either political "side", but also he doesn't pretend to know everything...if he is unclear about things, he asks. If he has an opinion and is proven wrong, he understands and realized the new perception he just gained.
I truly hope he does mediate presidential debates...he would shut down anyone who interrupts.
Honestly he's pretty progressive on a lot of things.
@@lukelyon1781 he’s pretty progressive on very certain things, but he has a lot of right wingers who have insane takes that he doesn’t normally ever push back on
Where the fuck is this joe rogan. Please come back joe ur scaring me.

When I listened to this on JRE, I was SO excited! I was yelling on campus "Yes, Joe rogan you are getting it!!" lol
KingOfShenanigans on campus? Are you taking a summer class or something?
mud cat, WUT?
"Yes Joe Rogan is confirming my bias! I AM VINDICATED" lmao. Immigration is not positive for the American Workers, who will be displaced by this pool of labor that is more expedient to hire than Actual Citizens. As Socialists i thought we didnt want to help multinational corporations profit off of minority groups?
Alceste De Ambris, prosecute those who hire undocumented workers.
Btw, I wasn't vindicated I was excited because I know that a lot of people from the right and in the middle listen to this podcast and that he can be very influential. I was afraid that he was going to become another sort of Dave rubin.
Damn 2018 Rogan > 2022 Rogan
Wow I really Appreciate Joe Rogan more and more .
@Drog .NDTrax his job is to talk to people. He'll do that regardless. So he'll also have his friends on like Alex Jones. Which is NOT a bad thing. Especially since Joe doesn't let them say whatever they want. Just look at how much he triggered Stephen Crowder just by fact checking him. To say "omg he's giving them a platform" as if thats automatically bad is horribly ignorant. He's not Dave Rubin. He will call anyone out on their BS if he feels like it or knows the subject well enough
This past year has been really sad for the rogan fan inside me......(no homo) 🥺
Where is this joe now, this guy has completely lost it
Rogan nailed it. 90% of the issues that divide Americans are just about being a shitty person versus a decent person.
I'd like to see Kulinski and Crowder debate on Joe's podcast.
Allan Graves, I don't even think Shapiro would have the balls to debate Kyle. But I agree that would be good!
Allan Graves There would be no point, Crowder isn't intellectually honest enough to bring a rational debate. It would become a shittalking fest and Crowders followers would learn nothing.
Shapiro and Kulynshi would be cool.
Kyle would act like such an asshole on the podcast lmao, the dude has little respect for the debate format or guys like Crowder
torrential-rage you have a point, but Shapiro is dishonest as well.
ZERO THE FOOL He would be condescending but that doesn't mean he wouldn't follow a debate format. He followed the format just fine when he curbstomped Razorfist.
As squirrelly as rogan get catering to the alt right, he’s actually a very effective communicator at times like these. Would love to see either of you on his podcast. Great interview today btw.
I think he means the fact that he would even give them a platform
Jonathan Rose guests like I’mlow, clam chowder, mr cat scratch, dr. Peterbuilt and Sammy Harris Jr. know what they’re doing. Neil degrass Tyson and Abby Martin doesn’t make up for it. I’m not calling him a racist. Joe is a cool dude
Joe Rogan is just a regular dude, he just wants to talk about chimps, exercise, and smoke a bong, I really don't think he thinks too deeply into these issues because he doesn't quite get what he should do, so he just has personal conversations with people, but there are clearly certain avenues when draws the line and says, "yeah no, too far, you're not on the team"
socialized healthcare is evil. period. socialist healthcare means force, and force is wrong.

*_"not to his audience"_*
I'm part of *_"his audience"_* who's also part of *_"your audience"_* as well.
This is the best take. Sick of commentators being tribal about other commentators while criticising the public for being tribal.
Me too
Joseph Phillips - it drives traffic. Besides which, they don’t literally mean all his audience.
Joe found the perfect dose of weed, DMT, and whiskey that day
The best comment here :D
Bring this Rogan back
how’d he change?
A lot of people don't realize how apolitical Rogan actually is. People try to rope him in with the right but he doesn't even subscribe to any political labels. His views are actually generally very progressive.
Justin Saelens i listen to joe on the regular, and i agree with u 100%
occupynewparadigm he doesnt understand economics?lol economist dont understand economics, you are lost in theory.
occupynewparadigm yes, joe can be wrong as much as he is right sometimes. Ppl expect too much and not enough from our actual media.
occupynewparadigm lol i been following richard wolf for over 20 years, i been listening to him in WBAI on his economic update. He is a marxist, look up what that ideology does when expanded through out the entire market. But he is a healthy alternative in your information diet. You need to listen to both sides of the spectrum and take the valid points of both. You need to live in that thin line between CHAOS ( capitalism) and ORder (marxism). Any one of this two takes over and u have unhappyness. If you heard Richard he is for Co-ops. Where you work for a group of bosses who got together and are extremely competent. That way the decision making is spread out instead of concentrated in one person. But u are still an employee until they (the bosses) consider you competent enough to invite you as a member. Is there any law that stops you from doing that right now? Only if you lack the competence. Lots of companies around you are Co-ops. If you want to start your own there is nothing stoping you. Therefore the current system works.
occupynewparadigm I hope you realize that "the golden age of economic growth" in America took place at a time when America was the most left-wing in terms of economics, as it has ever been.
Rogan usually does more good than harm. The alt right loves him, and he serves them by hosting their heroes like Dave Rubin, Ben Shapiro, Sam Harris and Peterson, but he actually provides a service in nudging them towards slightly more moderate, live and let live stance. Rogan is basically a decent guy, and when confronted with right wing stupidity and dangerous thinking, he will call it out.
No, he does more harm than good, he is an alt-right enabler. He seems to agree with whoever he talked to last. If he meant this progressive stuff he said in this clip he would not agree with all the alt right shitheads and demagogues when they come on his show and the bullshit they spew. He may have good intentions but he's impressionable and flip-flop-y as hell. And he's too dumb to see the danger that giving exposure to all these far right fuckers puts our society in. He thinks you can reason with the alt right scum or that you should listen to their points. He could not be more naive.
Sam Harris as an alt righter? Find your meds...
Rationalysis Sam Harris may not be one himself but he is an enabler for them just like Peterson, he says shit that they like to hear and that they perceive as supporting their shity views. Also Sam Harris is a hypocrite when it comes to islam, sometimes he is right, sometimes he massively exaggerates, but the real problem is that he is completely blind when it comes to any other religion on the same issues. And he has undeniably right wing political views, he is a war hawk for example.
Sam Harris is definitely an American exceptionalist. His argument regading good intentions and unforeseen consequences was very intellectually dishonest. He was aware that the consequences were foreseen, he was aware that Dick Cheney predicted them in the 90s, and yet he still tried to argue that America had good intentions in Iraq? Incredible intellectual doshonesty. Plus he's just a whiny bitch. Does he every stop whining about being taken out of context? Or about being misrepresented? Maybe people aren't taking him out of context or misrepresenting him, maybe they are accurately stating his shitty and biased views?
Sounds like you have a "1 drop" rule when it comes to conservatism.
Rogan's becoming a reverse Dave Rubin.
Joe rogan will actully argue against bullshit though
Wouldn't he have to be a genius though for that to be true?
Ben Grzesiak
Yes...Because Dave Rubin is good and can debate people and Rogan is stupid and makes emotional arguments while having a "F-ing everything will work itself out" attitude only a millionaire pothead can afford to have.
Yea He fact checked Stephen Crowder so hard that he had a melt down. Joe Rogan is the polar opposite of Dave Rubin.
Hydra Says the rando commenter, shill for the country’s ruling class, who is probably poor himself, and doesn’t realize that the rest of the developed world has worked all this shit, like healthcare and education, out.
I don’t always agree with Rogan, but the guys pointing out the obvious. To those on the right who claim to be Christian how can you turn you’re back on ppl in need? You think JC separates a child from its mother, walks past a guy who needs medical attention, fails to feed someone whose starving?
I got news for you, you ain’t no Christian, neither am I but I’ve got an atheist moral compass that you lack!!
"... not for his audience"
As a member of Joe's audience I didn't appreciate this comment. You guys often give off this holier than thou vibe which I normally ignore because I appreciate the commentary, but your self-righteousness is somewhat sickening at times, even if I agree with you 90% of the time.
i hear you, could have phrase it better, i rarely respond to youtube comments but i caught this. I think he does have a real far right part of his audience (and liberals and hippies and ufc and comedy enthusiasts). His audience is huge, but he's pissing of a real chunk of it being that moral and clear on immigration. Giving him props not trying to paint all his people with one brush
6052callum, I could not agree more!
6052callum well said, i agree
Womp Womp.
Go to the comments section on almost ANY one of Joe Rogans videos. It is rabid. I like him well enough and you are probably one of the few good ones but it's a fact a huge amount of his audience is super fucked up. If you're not one of them then don't take it personally.
Funny, last video I watched of these guys talking about Rogan, they were ridiculing him for being an uneducated panderer to the right.
You go, Rogan. A badass in more ways than one.
Man, where'd this Joe Rogan go...?
An educated healthy public is good for the entire country. Corporations don’t create jobs, educated (including skilled workers) middle class people spending their money create jobs.
It's been a while since i've heard Rogan talk like this. Miss that guy.
I am now a member of Joe Rogan's team. Wow!
Red Woods I've always been on it. He's mischaracterized all the time.
He'll fuck it up
I subscribed two weeks ago...he's awesome!
@Dogon Backwards That's the same bullshit Peterson's fans say. No, he's not mischaracterized at all. That's who Joe is... He has a small number of slightly more liberal views but also a boatload of batshit crazy right-wing views.
He changes his views based on who is on his show at the moment.
I hope Rogan finds his way again, he was on right track here but now he's completely de-railed
Joe rogan getting woke
N Ben he's always been like this.
N Ben
Woke to what? The lies the Media pump out everyday? Woke to the propaganda the globalists use to pull on peoples heart strings so we accept invasion by third world criminals? Thats really "woke".
Nope he's a idiot
Oh how the mighty have fallen. What happened, Joe?
Man what happened to this guy??
i don’t watch him as much, what happened to him now?
I fucking love that version of joe rogan. Deep down as much as he will entertain right wing ideas he is obviously a liberal.
There goes his CRTV contract!
Well, any chance at a contract anyway.
The Chris Lapakko - The King of Earned Media lmao
The Chris Lapakko - The King of Earned Media No kidding. Lol
You have to be a sellout in order to get a contract with CRTV.
Why the heck would he try to go there? Don't do it Joe!
And today Joe graduated from smartest dumb person to dumbest smart person

We need more of this Rogan

Hey, Sam, how many of these immigrant children being kept in cages can stay at your place?
Not everyone keeps children in his basement like you, Arthur...
5 years later, Joe Rogan has flipped.
Damn, Joe Rogan sounds like a Bernie Sanders progressive.
He sounds basically, minimally compassionate.
I'm more on the conservative side but, I mean he isn't wrong. If you can afford bombs and a $50 billion black budget for spying on our own citizens, you can afford the things he talked about
RIP Michael Brooks
This was the day when Joe's right wing part of his audience heads exploded.
🤣😂.. for real!🤣😂..
Ok cool Joe. Now u know who's been in charge making these decisions ... why don't you come out say he's an arsehole for doing this?? Bravo though.
What happened to Joe?
This is the best Rogan rant ever.
Rogan just went full blown Bernie bro. Money out of politics, Right to healthcare, free college...
He's always had these value.
& he doesn't believe in borders
& now he's into Universal Basic Income . . . . . huh
It's just men envying each other's success.
I wish Joe would say that to Steven Crowder
Rogan is a good person and that's what is most important. He's been surrounded by right wingers his whole life and they have influenced him. The fact that he's still open minded enough to learn that they are full of shit speaks for his character. People are way to hard on him. At least he's trying. We shouldn't pigeonhole him with these other scum bags because of a few things he doesn't agree with.
I dont always agree with Joe....but love his humanity here❤🇨🇦
Joe Rogan should say this shit to Steven Crowder or Carl 'Sargon of Akkad' Benjamin. They need this lecture more than anyone.
Here in 2024...wtf happened.
He left "the team"
He is not advocating illegal immigration, he is just saying families shouldn’t be separated. That doesn’t mean these migrants should get amnesty.
Hell yeah Joe. Good for him
"Not for his audience." Please explain what you mean by this. It seems that you're only talking about him in order to leech off of his followership in the first place, but then talk down to the audience of one of the world's most popular podcasts. C'mon guys! Cut out the arrogant bullshit. And if you want to talk down to people, at least be assertive and direct. Overall, I found your commentary very unbecoming of anyone whom wishes to have any influence on society. Please consider this a bit more before proceeding to dismiss millions of people. Would you like to be dismissed?.
Rock on Rogan!
"You're not on the team, but you can come on my show to spout your ignorance, and I'll defend you".

Pretty much. He's platformed SO MANY right-wing grifters since he said this.
I really wish they let the lady in the back speak more. Every time she speaks she says what I'm thinking but she rarely gets to finish her thoughts.
dan theman Her name is Jamie Peck and she has her own podcast with her husband. It is much further left than the Majority Report though just fyi.
Rogan gets it!!He nailed this topic!!
May the last real centrist please stand up!
Most of them aren't even centrists in the first place. That is just what they say to give themselves the appearance of being in the middle ground so they can paint their opponents as "far-left." Its bullshit when you actually examine their views. If I say i'm the Pope does it mean I am?
Sean Green some men are saying they're women...
There's no such thing as a centrist. The political spectrum has moved so fat to the right that American Centrists are actually center-right at best.

I wish we were moving to the right. Our borders would be closed and these mothers wouldnt be putting their children in danger to come leech off our welfare state.
I like Sam sedar but he’s painfully hypocritical at times.
This sounded like the old joe rogan. What happened to that Rogan btw?
@ man i miss duncan
He got money
What Joe Rogan is addressing in this clip is called EMPATHY. In my opinion this is a huge problem in American society; and it appears to be much more evident on the so-called "conservative" side. I have a slight problem with us calling people racists when they may in fact just not care about any "other people" due to lack of empathy. The skin color or national origin does not really effect their opinion; it's merely the fact they [immigrant, refugee, etc] are from somewhere that exist outside of their own egocentric reality. I do not believe Donald Trump is a racist; i believe he lacks the empathy to care about people outside of his own reality. Now, I'm not saying racism doesn't exist; i'm saying that a lack of empathy can often by mis-attributed to racism. The end result may be a similar outcome to racism; but the underlying cause is different. Unfortunately, unlike racism, you cannot just call it out and shame a lack of empathy. Many people who have racist views are often embarrassed by these views outside of their own circle of friends; that self loathing can keep it in check. But convincing people who genuinely do not give a shit to care about others is an incredibly difficult task.
This is an interesting thought and I agree 100% with a lack of empathy being a major issue today. My 2c, a willful lack of empathy regarding an issue that pertains to racial injustice is racism. It's tricky, because the mindset is probably like you said- 'i'm not against fighting injustices, I just can't be bothered to give a shit because it's not happening to me.' However, we are not judged by how we interpret our values but instead how the implementation of those values affects others. Therefore, when supreme indifference allows unjust treatment because of race, and you know that, and still can't be bothered to care? That's (in)actively harming a minority, and that's racism.
If someone does not think they are racist than being labeled racist would absolutely feel hurtful or offensive. You are probably right that many, including Trump, do not equate indifference with active discrimination. But man, America is currently fighting an ideological war with national extremism, Islamophobia, racial injustice, wealth inequality, voter's rights, you name it we've fucked it up- and no American citizen can sit this one out. A lack of opinion is an opinion. Keeping to yourself is just another name for not speaking out. So I just can't buy the 'not racist, just don't care' anymore- because we all know what's going on now, and way to many people these days smile in your face but stick a knife in your neighbor's back, and then ask 'what's the problem, it didn't happen to me or you!' That's just not good enough anymore. Unfortunately, I am aware this mindset falls prey to exactly what you said- it may not help with a national dialogue and could alienate those offended, pushing them away and making it harder to convince them to care. It's a dilly of a pickle!
@@1980EW I completely agree with you. often it takes more than to brains to properly articulate a point. Thanks for your insight!
We need to get both Sam and your boy Destiny on Rogans podcast, you would be the perfect pair to wake him up.
I think Joe gets hate for the wrong reasons. Him having idiots on his show doesn’t give them a platform they already have that. He opens them up to a wider audience. The reason these people are famous is because they have a niche followers that will support whatever they say. If you want them to receive any sort of criticism you need them to expose themselves more
Joe sounding like Anna from the young Turks
hahaha that Jordan Peterson voice impersonation was perfect.
I keep getting crtv ads on your videos and it makes me sad
TopHatKitty I’ve been getting those ads on every political video I’ve been watching the last few weeks. All of which are left wing channels, really makes no sense.
TopHatKitty I like it. Every time they show this ad to a leftist CRTV just wasted advertising money. Drop in the bucket for them and their right wing funders but I'm happy they're effectively paying leftist podcasts.
Rogan is the middle of the road where most of society is he's looking at both sides.
Learn to pronounce Duncan TRUSS-EL's name. He's an awesome dude and deserves your respect.
Yeah, he is the best. Just an unusual wordsmith with a brilliant podcast.
Thank you from this Mom and 2 time cancer survivor who WAS denied her last chemo treatment over money. Wonderful reward for a 20 yr first responder, well former, cancer took that took.
It’s so weird watching a MR video from anything more than a couple of months ago RIP Micheal you are missed
Watching in June 2020 and wondering where this Joe Rogan is.
that was fantastic (kinda frustrated he hasnt gone off like this with prior guests). but anyway, good on rogan
Camden Oltjenbruns he does...you are just watching the clips on MR
L Jaw while that is partially true, i usually only watch rogan videos when i know the person hes interviewing, and in those interviews, usually with right leaning individuals, he doesnt press as hard as im seeing with this clip. but i will grant you the fact that he does combat claims he finds outlandish and has pretty solid arguments at times
Sam sounds like Kermit the Frog when he gets wound up.

It's not about being anti-immigrant; it's about being pro-LEGAL immigrant.
man i love joe rogan. he dosent pad his comments that for sure!!! lol
Let's remember that the Trump admin stopped online asylum apps. They didn't have to caravan to the border until they did. 4:33 bell curves. Build a system that simply provides for your citizens without arbitrary gates and reduce the need to game.
Joe Rogan has always felt like this, I've been listening for a super long time and I think just like this. I also like Sam Harris and Peterson and am not right at all. You do a disservice making them out to be monsters. Joe is a good person just like most people, except politicians of all stripes.
You are the exact type of person they are referring to. If you can keep the cognitive dissonance of liking Sam Harris or Peterson and being on the Left at the same time, you are not paying attention. All that Peterson does is bash the Left
I really don't like rogan and I think he argues a lot of points really poorly, but this clip makes it seem like he's sometimes capable of being reasonable.
It's litteraly a feels argument.
Well said
Why don't you provide a link to the clip you're commenting on?
For any Rogen fans being butt hurt cause they’re being accused of bias, how come this segment of his podcast wasn’t clipped and shared on any of his his fan pages on here?
Sofi H because it was, it multiple places. I saw this on one of his clipped fan channels way before I saw this video.
I didn’t see it anywhere. All I see on my feed is the ones is that have libertarian/right wing slanted titles.
Sofi H so.... let me get this straight. You are under the assumption that your TH-cam feed is similar to everyone else’s?
Sofi H sofi didn't see it everyone, it doesn't exist.
Justin Brown link me then. Or look up Ocasio Cortez and Joe Rogan. There was nothing in the search results. His fans (much like Jordan Peterson's fanbase) are a bunch of entitled brats who complain about the left's victim complex but are the most whiny and aggrieved group there is. FOH with your BS.
Joe Rogan is a genuine good dude.
Q:Who turned it into a Sophie's Choice mandate? A: Presidente Orangutan
You mean our Commander-in-Chief Shitting Bull?--Liz Warren
Thank you so much, for not linking the clips that you use, its really awesome.
0:50 BWAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAA!
Love this episode!!!!! Thank you!!!! Great points being made!!!!!
Nice speech, Joe, really. Just don't wear that shirt again. Please. Wicked distracting.
I love that shirt.
Just look away.. lol.
The shirt made it super easy to find the correct interview thumbnail though.
i would really appreciate if you guys linked to the podcasts where the clips come from!
