Coming to in a hospital bed while Seagal stands over you dressed like a doctor would be exactly like Jerry's reaction in that episode of Seinfeld where he found out he got a blood transfusion from Kramer.
Couple of points from a native of Russia. That labcoat is typically required in most Russian hospitals to be worn when visiting certain wards. Some places used to require a little lab hat and shoe covers too. Also, Steven Seagal is so much more popular in Russia than he is in the States. I cannot attest for current young generation, but anyone over the age of 25 has seen a lot of him in movies and he is often unironically counted as an action superstar
It would be nightmarish without the proper context but for me waking up to the greatest Italian Japanese Jamaican Indigenous artist of all time burning sweet grass, and yelling “anybody seen Richie? Anybody know why he did Bobby Lupo?” and calling everyone a “bombocl**t” before bowing and chopping a melon in half with Samurai sword would be a dream come true.
2:40 it’s not at all weird for the Russians, on the contrary, Steven Seagal is very recognizable here as one of the action stars from the 90’s. Not as big as Schwarzenegger, but on par with Sylvester Stallone or Jean Claud Van Damme for sure. That is probably why he basically ended up settling down here. He’s definitely more respected in Russia than in the US (or rather people are less aware of his bs and look at him through rose glasses of nostalgia for the era when Hollywood was entirely new for us).
Very well put. By no means am I fond of his work now, but growing up in Russia in the 90s every household had at least a few bootleg cassettes of his movies. And some TV stations I bet still regularly play mini-marathons of him.

Is "the good doctor" a sequel to "a good man"?
"I'm a , mother fucking, surgeon..."
"Am I in heaven?"
Seagal: "No, you're in a hospital"
Me: "Then why am I seeing an angel?"
It was nice meeting Dr. Seagal in the hospital except when he ate my pudding.

I would like to be woken from surgery by Dr Jackie Chan.
Dr. Seagal saved my life when I was half past dead.
Or, as I call it, dead-thirty.🥁
[crickets]
Is this thing on?
steven seagal wearing a lab coat with chinese dragons on it would signal to me that I'm in heaven
This is literally insane.
to quote the tagline of another famous medical professional: he's got a pdf in kicking your ass
I love how everyone mocking Steven Seagal now is doing a bad Tom Segura impersonation.
Steven Seagura? That's all I got.
Cumtown did it first
I mean I remember Chapo doing Steven Seagal bits back in like 2016…

This wouldn’t even close to meeting up with Gerard Depardieu. This would be like meeting Olivier Gruner.
🧉🦄👌🏽
Funnily enough Gerard Depardieu also settled in Russia. Could be next time people will actually wake up with him standing near the bed
