LOL. My favorite is when Lisa smacks him. And when Zack stuffs him in a locker. But it's also funny when Jessie, Slater, and even Kelly give him a shot.
The only time Lisa was really justified to smack him was with the calendar incident. Because he snuck into the women’s locker room and took photos of them in their swimsuits without their consent.
@@kibasoul Yeah...I figured it was used in a totally different context back then, just couldn't put a finger on it, especially in light of what it refers to today. Thanks for clearing that.
lmao at his own robot punching him in the face 😂😂😂, is it just me or did Screech become way stupider after the 1st two seasons though? It’s like he dropped 80 IQ points
Yes, the writers did that. They were afraid if he was too smart he would become a breakout nerd character like Steve Urkel did and overshadow Zack and Kelly. Dustin Diamond said he did not like what they did to the character.
People got mad at Screech for being such an asshole on the later show when he was older. But who can blame him if people are repeatedly being hit an bullied it pushes people to there limits an they sooner or later start fighting back an getting crazy. So it’s never cool to pick on people.
I got the feeling that they thought what they were doing to him was just rough teasing. Nevertheless, it was over the top. They violated his boundaries.

Watching this tv series growing up from Beginning with Good Morning Miss Bliss middle with High School and college years all the way to end where Zach & Kelly get married, I really wish the creators of the tv series of SBTB would have done a suicidal awareness two part episode. It would be about where Screech has enough of being picked on and treated like trash from his so called hang out buddies: Zach, Slater, Kelly, Jessie, & Lisa so he wants to end his life because he learns that they all never liked him in the first place. Enough evidence to show that! Long story episode short, they will take heart that life is too short to be mean to people who are ‘Different’ and they save Screech in the nick of time and apologize for treating him like trash and will make it up to him by being real sincere friends. Screech will finally feel love and acceptance among him and the rest of the series of the shows entire run. The gang would even give him pointers in how to approach girls without rejection. Maybe, Screech now called Samuel or Sam will finally win Lisa’s heart ?!? He won.’t be weird anymore. Too steep you say ? Well, they did Jessie’s caffeine pill addiction, why not Screech Teenage Suicide Awareness ? Showing us viewers that life is too short to be mean to people are different, be there true friend before it’s too late. Rewind to be Kind and Fast Forward to make a difference. Thoughts ?😊
I could definitely go along with that. I also always thought they could have mentioned sex at some point. It's never talked about at all. If it's one of those shows that deals with teen issues, that could have been good as well. Though I suppose it was a pretty early show in that type of genre, so maybe that was still a taboo topic. But yeah, teen suicide is definitely a worthwhile topic.
My personal feeling is that THAT is the only thing Screech really did wrong. Being a nerd isn't a reason for violence. Being annoying isn't a reason for violence. I would say nothing he did was a reason for violence. But he definitely should have taken a hint and stopped hounding her. But that's in a perfect work. It's a dumb TV show, so maybe I shouldn't be taking it seriously. ;)

Most of the time, yes, except toward the end of the series, when she appreciates him more as a friend, and is kinder to him. They never became a couple, though. I doubt it, one of the main issues with stuff thats going on presently is the parents of these people you speak of are from the Saved by the Bell generation and they stick up for their kids crimes and misdeeds instead of punishing them. I guess in a sense someone else could put some sense into them but when they have their own family saying they are doing nothing wrong they think they were the ones being wronged, not that they deserved it. Poor kid, that’s a lot of abuse. No wonder he always looks so timid on the show, and grew into an angry adult later on.
Thankfully he didn’t turn to a school shooter
