I also have heard reports, and have experienced, that sometimes the day of the week setting to get "stuck" and have to fiddle with it to turn over... it's weird that it has the day names in two languages that turn over at different times. I bought my first one of these about six years ago and I'm still wearing the same one. It is beat to death and had the bezel epoxied back on. On its second strap and battery and to this day still runs +1 second per week. I've had a spare for over a year but haven't needed it.

Very good review. Today, I realised my EDC beater watch, a Seiko 7N42-8070-A4 which I purchased in the mid 90's for if I remember, £40, is actually a collectors item, and a superbly tough and accurate military watch. About a 1 to 5 second variation per month in all it's life. The webbing strap is badly going but the watch is basically as new. I just took it for granted. There is now no way I am going to abuse it as I have daily for basically 4 decades! I ordered the Casio MRW-200-1BVES today on Amazon, in exactly the same configuration as you demonstrate in the video for £18 with postage. My new beater watch. All reviews seem to be glowing. If I can get 5-10 years of tough use out of it I shall be supremely chuffed. ATB, Simon
I’ve got a beef with your strap analysis. Very comfortable up to three years, at which point I’ve had to replace the straps. Both Straps broke where the buckle joins when on wrist. Cheers!
This Casio has incredible legibility, simplicity and accuracy. Mine are never more than 5-10 seconds off per month. Also, with each one I’ve owned, the seconds hand hits the chapter ring markers dead on. It’s the ultimate beater...I’ve stockpiled this watch in case Casio decides to discontinue it.

I completely disagree about the strap, the "teeth " help with breathability. Having worked manual labor my whole life I couldn't disagree more. This watch wears well whilst one bust their ass at work.
