Of any sharp-eyed and willing user, I request help locating the harpist in this superb recording.
If you mean 'jew's harp', he's sitting next to the mridangam player.
@@YaoEspirito Thank you, but I mean rather the Western concert harp which is heard in the opening moments of the performance.

The white students of Harward, Berkley, etc, thinking about where he got music theory to play it.
He did his Master’s Degree in Western Classical Music in California. If that wasn't enough,he also studied medicine, finishing his MBBS at Madras Medical College and registered as a General Practitioner.
His broad range of musical literacy reaches far beyond mere fragmented "music theory" .
speedhertz my father was at UCLA and lived with him for a while in the 70’s and 80’s
How was he like back then? He and his brothers were a rage in South India in the late 60s and early 70s, playing stuff like this : th-cam.com/video/pO7HtVt-whM/w-d-xo.html
He can play anything on that violin of his!
This performance was in Latvia. The citizens there do not have the convoluted racial hang-ups to which you refer. Notice the violinist seat behind Subramaniam's son and her overt admiration and keen interest in the master's playing !

Where are 2set violing lings ?
Make fun of bollywood, they do,
This, they don't touch.
The western players need script, where as our musician sri Subrahmanyan need no script to play
You cannot synchronise 100 musicians without notes. It is fine for solo.

Our music is entirely based on mano dharma. Each raga will have its own notes. There is a classification like janya raga, janaka raga, jeevam and so on. The Indian classical musician can reproduce any musical item, by simple listening. Ours is great.
L Subramanyams works are not strictly based on raga and they are his composition. Anyway the whole plan cannot be synchronised across the orchestra without notes as raga can be played in many ways.
@@anilraghu8687
May be his own compositions, like many other musicians. There is no such rule, prohibiting composition of new raga. I prefer our classical music of all other types of music. Besides I heard many performances of Dr. Subramaniam, right from 1970s. He is one of the versatile musicians of South.
Failure
Also typical crap Indian stage/venue, zero aesthetics
