- In this video I review the RIDGID K9-12 FlexShaft drain cleaning machine and use it to unclog a drain. Overall, it's a great drain cleaning machine as it scrubs the walls of the pipe clean rather than just poking a hole through the clog, preventing future clogs or buildup.

It looks like a vaccum cleaner with special features
Does it make it down the vent or through turns like a traditional cable
It makes it through turns or even P-traps just like a normal drain cleaning machine, it is just as flexible as a traditional cable of the same thickness.
You left out lots of info. 1, they prefer it to be run at higher rpm so that the chain will clean the walls. 2, they say you should be running water while this is being used to help flush bits being broken loose. 3, they also say, if possible, push through the clog, then run the water and start the drill, cleaning as it is being pulled back. 4, if it's a harder clog, say solid grease, they say you may need to poke a hole through it first with a standard auger first, in order to get this into the clog. The bigger units have the option to add a head to cut into the clog.
@@stevem1081I have this smaller Flexshaft and use a penetrating head on the end of it and it works amazing
@@stevem1081 This smaller unit does not have the option to add larger heads, just the small chain heads.
Have u tried this tool on soft poop stoppages yet
This drain cleaning machine is designed for smaller drain lines up to 2". I have used it on a 3" pipe and it worked, so I think it should work for soft stoppages on toilet drains.
thought it has build in culch
It does but you should still use the clutch on your drill
Are they avain ireland and are they expensive
The machine is a little pricey but for me it paid for itself on the first use compared to hiring a plumber. Ridgid does sell their tools in Ireland, you could check with a local plumbing supply store.
@@DragonBuilds thank you very much for your prompt response 👍. I well check it out
