Buying a Sim Card in Canada| Canada Sim card from India |Prepaid Options vs Postpaid Options| Fido

With various options available the best one is to get a sim card in India prior to landing in canada (from Canadian_sim) as it gives various benefits at a much cheaper price.
Id required for purchasing postpaid Canada sim card in India- Valid Visa
Id required for purchasing postpaid sim card in Canada- Canadian identification like Driver license, SIN number , credit card along with Visa/Passport.
Store Location- Fido Kiosk (various other kiosks available) inside CF Champlain Mall, Paul Street Dippie ,Moncton, NB
Go for postapid if you have relevant Id or get a prepaid without Id and get it converted to postpaid once you have your Canadian identification.
Postpaid bill for 20Gb is 50 CAD( including tax) and prepaid for 20 GB is 75 CAD ((excluding tax). You also get the benefit of India calling with postpaid which we did not get in prepaid.

Thank you for sharing this. Now on the website they are asking for passport details too. Some people under videos claimed that Fido customer care representative informed them that they have no association with Canadian sim website. Some people claim it’s a scam as information can be misused . What is your opinion on it. Have you faced any issue? When you visited the Fido kiosk in canada , did they confirm if it’s genuine.

I bought the sim back in India and there were no such issues. Infact I am paying 50$ a month for 20gb plan which is usually 75$ if you opt one in canada. I gave my visa picture (water marked it for security purpose) as a proof for buying the sim card. It is genuine.

@@samridhimehra the immigration questions depends upon your status (PR, study, work). Usually they ask where you would stay, college you study in, place where you work. But generally it's quick and easy like 5 minutes and they ask from whatever information you provided. We have made a video on immigration question do check it out

Yes absolutely worth it because here they need 2 pieces canadian ID which takes time to get made whereas in India they only require a copy of your visa. And 40 plus taxes is 47 whereas it's 50 all inclusive from India do there isn't much of a difference
