Yes, kind of sad ending, but look at the bit of dialogue they kept from the Morbius interrogation scene. "I don't want the crown, but I was born for it." Good to see the old trickster picking up on his duty that would make his parents and brother proud, and they'll never know. So good even if sad!
In the end he gave us good development, and the transcendence of Loki. From being a common villain who invades Asgard, and then New York and being Thanos's bugger. Now he is the hero of the mutiverse. And now that it's over, becoming Avengers Prime.💚💚
renslayer was pruned so she ended up in the void, that purple glow was aliath (the big monster that "eats" everything in the void) but that face of determination at the end, i think we are seeing her loop starting again bc she was the one to help tame aliath in the first place so kang could use him as a weapon in the multiversal war...
Loki as a whole is the Best MCU project🤷🏾♂️. Better written, better storytelling, some of the best cinematography in media, best acting. Everything was just pristine.
For as long as I can remember, Spider-Man was my favorite character. Ever since I was a kid. I think Loki snatched that spot like the mischievous scamp he is.
Loki ascended to the highest of levels. He now sees all, knows all. Sacrificed himself for sake of his friends and Free Will. Pretty much what "God" is supposed to be.
I think it was Alioth that came to Renslayer. She’s in the void now, so it would make sense that it removes her from time like it did with everything else that had been pruned
Was lovely to follow your reactions, as always! One thing to take note of - Loki Who Remains now watches over an infinitely growing multiverse. Other variants of Loki don't necessarily have an end file stopping at Thanos anymore because the TVA no longer interferes. With so many branches, LWR, who monitors every single branch now, has likely seen some where Loki reunites with Thor 💚 Edit: there are quite a few callbacks to season 1 and the first Thor movie, like the: "For you, for all of us!" line The biggest season 1 tie in has to be: "Every step you took to get here, I paved the road. You...you just walked down it." & "Oh come on...you know you can't get to the end until you've been changed by the journey. This stuff, it needs to happen...to get us into the right mindset to finish the quest." Also, one last thing...we definitely will see Loki again. He's basically created Yggdrasil. At some point, it will tremble and that will be a warning for the "Ragnarok" of the multiverse ;)
19:32 how did u forget? It’s Alioth. Kang’s pet. They just spent all the money on the loom and the world tree The purple cloud monster that’s gonna starve after a few years cuz of loki
This was a perfect season. I cried and cried during the final scenes. Loki has become the best character in the MCU and has the best character arc ever! He’s the hero we’ve needed. Tom Hiddleston was perfect as Loki and he’s always going to be the definitive Loki. I’ve enjoyed watching this with y’all.
“Is it mercy for me, or mercy for you?” Love how even though HWR is trying to play it cool, he REALLY does want Loki to take the burden of being in the center of time away from him. To quote himself from the last episode of season 1, “I’m tired.”
he who remains was giving me some devilishly good Mxyzptlk vibes. i very much enjoyed it, this series and watching you guys react to it. thank you for your vibes.
This has been the best from mcu for me, I think the kid mobius was supposed to prune but couldn't was kid loki at the end of time. Also lokis tears in that last scene were real, they had all been saying their goodbyes on set right before filming this scene, i also feel the gold appearing in his throne was almost like odin was giving him his approval
If you actually go back to when they show the new TVA is clear that they are now going after kangs and now pruning kangs, instead of pruning the whole timelines
@@Rascool69the TVA is outside time. They'll try to stop the Kangs before they get to the point of becoming a threat. Like how they don't give Victor Timely the TVA handbook.
@@Mike.ox-em1zc But, when a kang moves to a different timeline, so can a TVA Hunter, they have their tempads, so it doesn't matter if there are infinite timelines if you can go to every timeline you want with a touch of a button and just follow the kang where-ever he goes And also, if you were to say there is more than 1 kang that they are hunting, there are also an infinite amount of variants at the TVA to help in the chase, each one with their own tempads
That was perfect,Loki had an amazing character arc.He choose his glorious purpouse to be the one who keeps the Multiverse alive,if only Thor could see him now....
Towards the end of the episode, the 616 adjacent realm is a reference to Ant-Man 3 Quantumania. Also pretty sure the purple and the sound was Alioth (the storm cloud from season 1 episode 5)
I just can’t get over how fitting it is for the lord of mischief holding together timelines that aren’t “supposed” to exist his final act is the most mischievous act of all and yet selfless, incredible writing.
End? Why would this end Loki's story? There's still Ramona and she might try to take down Loki and entire tva- She might make her own tva as we saw she is currently at the old tva. If her memories will somehow come back she will become a big threat. And also mentioning that whatever happened in this episode wont change the fact that Kang is coming.

@@deelewis8061Actually he was allowed to take on the role just SO the Kangs can rise. Ultimately, He Who Remains likely kills Loki only for him to happen again.
TRULY INCREDIBLE. This was one of those things where you go like "Will there ever be something this good again?". It's almost bittersweet watching the episode because it's so mind blowing, and you will never again watch it for the first time. The opening scene, the finale of the second season being not just the obvious glorious purpose, but more amazingly, the burden... both emotionally with his friends, (his respect for Mobius to go to him at the very end), but even carrying the timeline to the throne. Just amazing. The (somehow) even greater ominousness of HHR despite the same exact scene that was amazing to begin with in the finale of Season 1. And the comic book like visuals, the ending scenes, his suit turning into Loki... so much respect for Disney and Marvel, the writers, Tom Hiddleston, Owen Wilson, Jonathan Majors and everyone involved for this.
Its crazy how this whole season was loki realizing that he was the one who needed to take his place cause kang said it in season 1 “either take my place or kill me and start another war” wow….
THIS is how you write an OP superhero. Showing how he went from wanting to control to wanting to protect was masterful. Thanks for the videos guys. I thought that the purple was Alioth myself, but I could be wrong.
Using a reversed Marvel Studios logo at the beginning of Loki Season 2, Episode 6 is a creative and symbolic way of foreshadowing the chaotic and unpredictable nature of the episode as well as the season's more prominent themes. This logo also represents Loki's journey throughout the series, as he has always been an outcast and never fit in. In Season 2, he was forced to confront his chaotic nature and harm others. The ending of Season 2, Episode 4, was replayed from various perspectives in Episode 6, which was an ingenious way of demonstrating how events can unfold differently depending on the observer's point of view. This also shows that Loki's time-traveling abilities have become unpredictable. Additionally, the ending of Season 2, Episode 4, was replayed from various perspectives in Episode 6. This is an outstanding season. He Who Remains tells Loki that all Lokis will fail regardless of his actions. Lokis are chaotic beings who constantly try to break rules and subvert the status quo. He Who Remains also informs Loki that multiverse war is unavoidable and that he is the only one who can end it. This is because of Loki's unique nature as a god and trickster. He can see the world from various perspectives and is unafraid of questioning authority. Finally, Loki disproves He Who Remains: he chooses to save the multiverse even if it means risking failure. This demonstrates that Loki is not doomed to failure and can decide his fate. This is a solid, essential message. This reminds us that we are not helpless victims of our circumstances. We can shape our fate, even if it means going against the odds. Loki is prompted to visit Mobius in Loki season 1, episode 1 because he wants to know what it is like to be Loki. He wants to know why he is doomed to fail and what he can do to change his fate. It is interesting to see how Loki's views on TVA and the multiverse have evolved since the first season. Loki was suspicious of the TVA in season one, believing they were attempting to control the timeline. However, Loki realizes in season 2 that TVA is required to prevent a multiverse war. The scene also serves as a reminder of Loki's character development. Loki was arrogant and selfish in the first season. On the other hand, Loki was more humble and compassionate during season 2. He is willing to abandon his life for the greater good. He Who Remains said "See you soon" a few times. This could be interpreted as a foreshadowing of the creation of various Kang types in keeping with the episode's broader themes of reality, free will, and destiny. The number of times the Who Remains said, "See you soon," can now be used to predict the appearance of multiple Kang variants. This is an extraordinarily clever and subtle way of hinting at the future of the MCU, adding a new layer of meaning to the episode. The fact that the Season 1 premiere and the Season 2 finale are titled "Glorious Purpose" is a clever way of setting up the scene in Time Theater, where Loki visits Mobius. This suggests that Loki's journey is circular and that he is constantly learning and growing. Loki's return to where he began his journey was significant. This demonstrates that Loki has come full circle and is now prepared to face his fate, whatever it may be. In Time Theater, Loki's visit to Mobius is a well-written and well-acted scene. This is a pivotal moment in Loki's character arc and an emotionally and visually powerful scene. Loki's new outfit encompasses elements from his past, present, and future. This ensemble includes his traditional green and gold costume, the TVA prisoner uniform, and Sylvie's black and green ensembles. Green and gold signify his past as a trickster god and villain. The TVA uniform symbolizes his current situation as a prisoner and his journey towards redemption. Sylvie's black and green ensemble represents his future as a hero and leader. This outfit is a visually striking representation of Loki's character development throughout the series, encompassing his journey of transformation and potential. Additionally, Loki's transformation into the God of Stories is a metaphor for the power of storytelling and the ability to shape our destiny. In the episode's closing moments, Loki is seated on a throne amidst a sprawling network of branches, representing Yggdrasil. This colossal tree connects all nine realms of Norse mythology. This reference to Yggdrasil was a fitting and satisfying development of Loki's character arc, demonstrating his acceptance of his new role and responsibility in safeguarding the multiverse. Additionally, it served as a reminder of Loki's transformation into a heroic figure. The statement made by Mobius regarding a Kang variant in a realm adjacent to the 616 universe is a clever reference to both Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and hints at the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It suggests that Kang's storyline will continue to develop and that Marvel Studios is planning a powerful storyline centered around this character. Kang is a complex and intriguing character who has the potential to become one of the greatest villains in the MCU. Loki finally accepted his glorious purpose during the second season's sixth episode. He is now a multiverse protector willing to give up everything to keep it safe. He comes full circle and is a better person as a result. Using the title "Glorious Purpose" is a unique and significant way of concluding Loki's second season. It serves as a reminder of Loki's journey and promises.
Love the opening… marvel music played backwards! Loki made a completely unselfish choice for love of his friends and sacrificed himself for them. And a tree has branches. He saved the branches. The choice HWR gave were two bad choices. Loki chose free will and he’s the one handling all the branches. Wow. Just wow.
So glad I found you guys. I’m binging you tonight and your channel is the only one I haven’t skipped the commentary on. And great idea about playing the Avengers theme while on hold. I wouldn’t be pissed to be on hold. 😊
You guys know that Tom Hiddelston gave an interview & said that this was the last season of Loki, & he said that Loki’s last word’s were the same words he said to Oden in the first Thor, but now if you think about it, if they want he could still see Thor in a later movie or since he is in control of the time he could bring back Toney Stark.

Or Thor somehow acknowledging Loki’s actions. Hopefully that will happen in an upcoming MCU film.
Love how this show “undid” Endgame Loki and then made his arc even more amazing . Amazing show.
I really hope this isn’t the last we see of Loki…
Loki Season 1 and 2 is the perfect example of "when you let the writers cook" and they freaking cooked a barbecue.....with "Sauce"
perfect
It wasn't kang, it was that cloud monster that deletes everything in that time landfill place
Yes, kind of sad ending, but look at the bit of dialogue they kept from the Morbius interrogation scene. "I don't want the crown, but I was born for it." Good to see the old trickster picking up on his duty that would make his parents and brother proud, and they'll never know. So good even if sad!
17:55 We’re witnessing the birth of Loki, The God of Stories
In the end he gave us good development, and the transcendence of Loki. From being a common villain who invades Asgard, and then New York and being Thanos's bugger. Now he is the hero of the mutiverse. And now that it's over, becoming Avengers Prime.💚💚
"Scar tissue."
What a great series!
Loki has found his Glorious Purpose ... He has found his Kingdom .. He is now, "HE WHO REMAINS!!"
He did end up becoming the king of all space like Mobius said in season one 😅
I never thought Loki would make me tear up, but damned if he didn't. That was a freakin' awesome closer.
renslayer was pruned so she ended up in the void, that purple glow was aliath (the big monster that "eats" everything in the void) but that face of determination at the end, i think we are seeing her loop starting again bc she was the one to help tame aliath in the first place so kang could use him as a weapon in the multiversal war...
Loki just became the Three Eyed Raven from Game Of Thrones😂😂 WHAT AN EPISODE MAN! WHAT A SERIES! 9/10!
I have refreshed TH-cam countless times today waiting for your review!
With so many branches, LWR, who monitors every single branch now, has likely seen some where Loki reunites with Thor 💚
Edit: there are quite a few callbacks to season 1 and the first Thor movie, like the:
"For you, for all of us!" line
The biggest season 1 tie in has to be:
"Every step you took to get here, I paved the road. You...you just walked down it."
&
"Oh come on...you know you can't get to the end until you've been changed by the journey. This stuff, it needs to happen...to get us into the right mindset to finish the quest."
Also, one last thing...we definitely will see Loki again. He's basically created Yggdrasil. At some point, it will tremble and that will be a warning for the "Ragnarok" of the multiverse ;)
Yes! Exactly
Loki pretty much became the God of Stories from the comics and that purple thing u saw with Ren slayer is Elioth.
19:32 how did u forget? It’s Alioth. Kang’s pet. They just spent all the money on the loom and the world tree
The purple cloud monster that’s gonna starve after a few years cuz of loki
Amazing show and amazing finale!
Simply Incredible. What a journey.
“Is it mercy for me, or mercy for you?”
Love how even though HWR is trying to play it cool, he REALLY does want Loki to take the burden of being in the center of time away from him. To quote himself from the last episode of season 1, “I’m tired.”
he who remains was giving me some devilishly good Mxyzptlk vibes. i very much enjoyed it, this series and watching you guys react to it. thank you for your vibes.
Hour one I’m here for this reaction! 🔥
The Groundhog Day scene was SO cool! And the title is the SAME as the very first episode of season 1! It's a loop!🤯
Man finally got his throne and it’s the most depressing one
Amazing show!! The most creative thing Disney has done with Marvel!!
Bravo🔥🔥
That wasn't Kang at the end coming for Renslayer, It was Alioth, the purple cloud from S01.
Loki walking up to the throne with all the branches is top 3 marvel moments for me.
Loki made such a dramatic character arc from the one we knew from Avengers. It makes me think can anybody change to a good person?
I think that's an arc worth telling. Loki should be the face of post-endgame MCU
Remember when people said there was nothing in the Disney/Marvel series they didn't need too watch...
If you actually go back to when they show the new TVA is clear that they are now going after kangs and now pruning kangs, instead of pruning the whole timelines
But how do u chase down Kangs who can travel thru time & dimensions. Gonna be next to impossible to do.
@@Rascool69the TVA is outside time. They'll try to stop the Kangs before they get to the point of becoming a threat. Like how they don't give Victor Timely the TVA handbook.
@@Rascool69 Is it impossible for the TVA?
Can't they be anywhere at anytime?
It's gotta be hard because there infinite timelines INFINITE.
@@Mike.ox-em1zc But, when a kang moves to a different timeline, so can a TVA Hunter, they have their tempads, so it doesn't matter if there are infinite timelines if you can go to every timeline you want with a touch of a button and just follow the kang where-ever he goes
And also, if you were to say there is more than 1 kang that they are hunting, there are also an infinite amount of variants at the TVA to help in the chase, each one with their own tempads
Bro this ending was straight GAS!!
It wasn’t a kang that Ren slayer seen It was that cloud monster from the first season that kills people when they are pruned.
That was perfect,Loki had an amazing character arc.He choose his glorious purpouse to be the one who keeps the Multiverse alive,if only Thor could see him now....
I absolutely loved this. The story. The acting. The theme. The dialogue. The ending.
Tom Hiddleston, Owen Wilson & Johnathan Majors were amazing
Towards the end of the episode, the 616 adjacent realm is a reference to Ant-Man 3 Quantumania. Also pretty sure the purple and the sound was Alioth (the storm cloud from season 1 episode 5)
If you compare the latest Marvel series with Loki, this one really seems taken from another universe, what a glorious series
Incredible. Season 2 blew my expectations to Kingdom Come. This show is a diamond among a little too much fool's gold.
I just can’t get over how fitting it is for the lord of mischief holding together timelines that aren’t “supposed” to exist his final act is the most mischievous act of all and yet selfless, incredible writing.
That transformation when Loki was walking towards the loom was EVERYTHING!
Glorinous purpose indeed!
And this is why the time stone was always green what a way to end Loki story
How so? Please explain
Loki is not in charge of anything. HWR literally told him he paved the way for him to run the TVA. He told him in season one finale. Loki wasted centuries just for Kang to help him again to understand. It’s obvious Kangs plan was designed for Loki to take over the timelines. But, it’s still too late. The variants are here now.
No it isn’t lol the time stone was green when Loki arrived at the TVA while HWR was in charge.
Loki's babyface turn is just like Roddy Piper. Glorious Purpose.
THIS is how you write an OP superhero. Showing how he went from wanting to control to wanting to protect was masterful. Thanks for the videos guys. I thought that the purple was Alioth myself, but I could be wrong.
That's God of stories Loki. His most powerful version and now Loki is the most powerful character in the whole MCU
Brother over there dozing off on a very "exciting" show, LMAO!! Having said that, the final scene was awe-fking-some.
The show runner said there is no season 3 but this Loki will be in the next avengers movie
Cinematic universe finally did Loki some justice
That was Alioth, purple cloud from season one, when Loki and Sylvie were in the Void
Loki carrying the MCU at this point. He who remains!
Wandavision was my favourite- but now LOKI is 💚
It seems like someone has finally found his ultimate reasoning and incredible goal in terms of finding his OWN place in ALL of existence!
Loki def deserves a movie 🎬
Best Marvel show! Yggdrasil (tree of life) was beautiful to see
Bro just became the most Powerful being in the MCU btw. Also that was ailiath at the end about to kill Renslayer
The fact that the Season 1 premiere and the Season 2 finale are titled "Glorious Purpose" is a clever way of setting up the scene in Time Theater, where Loki visits Mobius.
616 was the situation with Kang, and him fighting Ant-Man 2.0 aka Scott Lang, that was in Quantummania.
Sick intro. I loved this. Kang pausing the fight was awesome showcased how thought out he planned it. Hes gonna be a menace
