Just writing this comment to say that this channel inspires me so much and makes me so much more motivated to continue furnishing effort into my work so that one day I can be as proud of my life success.

no it’s not that! it’s a random system, so you pick your “blocking group” which is the people you live with, and yourself and those people will be RANDOMLY assigned to a house. so most people have a top 2 or 3 houses they want and they get get really anxious and excited to find out what house they actually get! it’s completely random :) it’s not who ‘wants’ you! i hope this clears it up!
I believe 3 of them are far away and the rest of relatively close and on a lake? and the quad has said to have good food but is far away. So many students will cry whenever a housing group from the quad pops into their dorm.
Daisy Alvarez the funny thing is that we don’t have a particular housing system. We have dorms that have different cultures. Some dorms are artsy and others like building stuff. We also mix all the underclassmen together so freshmen just don’t live with freshmen and it really builds up a culture
Just from how these kids talk I can tell none of them have ever truly worried about being homeless. I'm not besmirching the hard work and dedication it takes to get into a school like Harvard even with all the advantages in life...It's just something I've observed about how people carry themselves. If it kind of sounds like I'm jealous, it's because I am.

Your seniors (apparently the representative of each house which is much like the house system in Indian schools) wearing their house uniforms & logos storm inside the freshman dorms to inform them in which they are placed in. The freshman can choose with whom they can live but not the house.
