Atleast stukas could be seen. I dunno whats worse stuka or 20 sky bees

I regularly go walking in tick infested areas as there's a lot of deer where I live. I use 50% Deet insect repellent spray on my lower legs when i go out. I also occasionally give my trouser legs and boots a spray with Permethrin, which is a neurotoxin for insects. That's enough to reduce the number of ticks I get by 95%. You might have to be a bit more thorough if you're regularly on your hands and knees though.
Ever used the permethrin laundry detergent? My mother used that when she went on Safari in Africa. It worked like a charm for her. Just curious if anyone else has tried it. I’d have worries about health concerns doing it for long durations though.
@@CFarnwideI didn't know that was a thing. as far as I'm aware that wouldn't necessarily be an issue. It's fine on skin, there are even permethrin creams, however, it's toxic to inhale so it's recommended treated clothing is left to dry outside. My understanding is once it's dried it's bonded to the fabric and won't let off vapor even when it gets wet. I spray it on my lower trousers and boots lightly while I'm outside occasionally which might be much worse due to inhaling the atomised chemicals 😅

@@choso9909 maybe hard to intercept but not encrypted properly... assuming the russians are able to intercept parts of the ukrainian internet traffic this can be a problem, especially if you don't treat it accordingly.
@@Superwip it's encrypted with proper and modern encryption via HTTPS, so it's technically even better that typical military radio. But you need to have an internet connection, which can become down if russian army manages to destroy the ISP (but they need to advance way further into the country in order to do that)

For the ticks I recommend permethrin, Kills on contact doesn’t repel. You can mix some with water in a bucket and soak your clothes the ticks are horrendous

One of my cousins was a drone operator in Ukraine, he and two other men were killed by Russian artillery despite being hidden in a small ground shelter similar to the one they use here. Russia is CONSTANTLY hunting for Ukrainian drone operators, and many do die regularly... just not as regularly as infantry.
@@ProfShibe I understand that but most of these foreign mercs are kept behind the intense fighting for political/strategic reasons, maybe this guys different considering he is in chasiv yar but a vast majority of the foreign fighters are much safer than the actual AFU that are going through hell on the frontlines, whether that be in a dugout doing recon like this, defending some random position somewhere, logistics, whatever but most of these foreign guys are much better off and it’s a well known fact, can’t send large amounts of your foreign volunteers to the meat grinder or they’ll just stop volunteering.
hey man, just an important tip if you wanna seriously mask someone's voice through pitch shifting: be careful not to shift other sounds, cause if they have a reference of what it's supposed to sound like (like the "attitude mode" notification, in this case), anyone can revert the exact pitch shifting and know their real voice

16:35 did you know that’s why Pirates wear eye patches because when they go from on deck to below deck, they lift the patch up because one eye is already acclimated to the dark and vice versa. Just a tip from a pirate.

@@JCinerea There is the International Volunteers Center in Lviv that you can visit. However, in terms of doing something being an aircraft mechanic, I have no idea. If it involves drone work, then you can definitely find something. However, if you’re talking about things dealing with F16s, I’ve never heard of a foreigner being involved with the Ukrainian Air Force. All I know is that the primary headquarters for the Ukrainian Air Force is in Vinnytsia, which I visited.

I don’t mean to backseat drive… but that generator gives off heat. You would be wise to assume the 3n3my has thermal cameras. While camo netting is great for the eye and IR… it’s not gonna cut it when it comes to thermal. In the future take some branches of about wrist thickness and lash them together with cord. The wood will “hide” the engine’s exhaust/heat. Mylar/cheap space blanket would also be good but don’t let the “shiny” Mylar show.

The Russians would be able to save at least 20 shells for a bunker like that if they saw the amount of people living inside. The fact they have not suggest they have not seen it. 18:09 you know the trick where you close one eye and cover it, so it adapts to darkness? This way you can switch eyes if you go outside and basically see immediately, and come back in switching to the other eye? This helps if you have transition often between two areas of brightness. That's what the crews of subs in WWII had done - apart from dim green or red lighting inside. This way, they could see through the scope with one eye in pitch black darkness very quickly.

18:09 you know the trick where you close one eye and cover it, so it adapts to darkness? This way you can switch eyes if you go outside and basically see immediately, and come back in switching to the other eye?
This helps if you have transition often between two areas of brightness. That's what the crews of subs in WWII had done - apart from dim green or red lighting inside. This way, they could see through the scope with one eye in pitch black darkness very quickly.
