Just for all viewers' information: this assistance is mainly done for keeping the convoy together nicely by preventing it from having to slow down and pull up all the time. So enabling the convoy to maintain about the same speed (not the highest speed) is the main goal.
The 'Mobiele Eenheid' (Mobile Unit) is a unit within the police force that is aimed mostly at riot control. With helmets, shields, clubs, water cannons, enforced vehicles and such.
It's made up of ordinary police officers and here they are on their way for a training at Valkenburg, a former military airport near The Hague in the province South Holland.
Not to be confused with the city in the south of the Netherlands that has the same name. Translated it means something like 'Castle of the falcon'.
Now, onto part 2 and 3!

When I saw the title I thought Highly is gonna see some Dutch hills for the first time, but than I saw it's from the Hague police so I knew it was the other Valkenburg, but still an interesting video of course!
the mobiele eenheid ME is the riot police. they have better protection, and extra training. they also work during football/soccer matches that are known to getting violent. they are normal police with an extra speciality, you can choose different things, ME, motorcycle, riding on a horse, and probably some more, they do that next to their normal policework

often roundabouts in the netherlands have high planters or pieces of art in the middle so people are not tempted to just drive over the middle of them and also they slow down cuz poor visabilety makes it so they can not asses the trafic situation properly. so the motor cop has to make a complete circle to know where the trafic is.
Damn, dunno what the convoy was about, but very well executed, just chilling and doing their job. Pro AF.

I've driven through that busy tunnel many times, and it's almost always at least as full as you saw here. Very cool to watch it get cleared this way.

Not much action, but that is how we like it out here. Just some professionals doing their job. I am a biker, i wish i as good as these guys. I had to take 3 test Just to get MC license! These guys take many more, they're on you like bugs. I am 48 and keep to the speed limit. You spot them on the overpass, and 2sec. later they're on youre ass. Don't f#ck with dutch police, they're highly trained!

I never care if i'm in a traffic jam here in the Netherlands. I'm in a seat, comfy, music playing. I am not in an ambulance, My folks are fine, and if they're not, i'm more than willing to wait to let emergency responders get to them

It's riot police. Not much of a very special unit. Mostly just basic officers with extra training and riot gear.
What do you think about the area you see and the road designs? Specially with these exceptional police guidance you can see that safety is in the back of road design

ME is Riot Police but they can have other tasks as well. Securing crime scenes, searching for evidence at/near crime scenes, searching for missing persons, safe guarding evacuated properties etc.
