I'm a Chucky/slasher/gore fan. Now that Chucky is more scary and bloody starting with Curse of Chucky. I can't wait for what comes next for this series. I'm watching, most definitely.
The split personality of the film represents the duality of the franchise, horror/comedy. I think Andy was underutilized. It was very much a filler film. It was still enjoyable. As a die hard Chucky fan I was upset/entertained at the same time.
I mean... there really wasn't much Andy could do anyway. Chucky was in an asylum after all and Andy found out there were more Chuckys pretty late in the film, reasonably so. He'll be the star in the next film though, along with Nicca.
I definitely wanted more Andy. I don’t know how Grace could praise Tilly’s acting and not throw a bone to the actor who played multiple Malcolm. I felt he did a good job.
aakash saini DC fans said the same things about BvS. 'The movie we been waiting all whole life', 'the biggest movie ever', etc. Look at how that turned out.
Also I saw some featurettes and so much goes into moving Chucky and lip-syncing with Brad's words or moving arms/legs, holding a weapon, etc. Especially during the 3 [SPOILER] scene. A lot can go into these types of movie and I admire that. You should too even if you hate it. They work their asses off moving Chucky. No more little person, just actual doll.

i love u grace for telling people to not fuck up the ending. i watched a trailer for fault in our stars and was so excited even though i hadnt read the book and someone straight up said the ending i was so effing pissed for days!
I'm not a big Chucky fan. But I've seen most of the films in the franchise over the years since I was a kid and had my own "my Buddy" which what Chucky was based on back in the day. Overall thanks for the review. Can't wait for movie math on monday

For anyone who's curious, Universal prevented any mention of Glen or Glenda in Cult due to wanting to isolate Chucky or Tiffany from any link to humanity such as having a family. Mancini originally intended for both Glen & Glenda to be at least mentioned in Cult, but Universal forced him to throw out the line.
Grace you need to watch Bride of Chucky ... that’s the one with Katherine Heigl and Jennifer Tilly... and follow that up with Seed of Chucky.... which both are really fun Chucky movies.

Will they include Henry Cavill in the junkets, interviews and or just pretend he is not in the movie? I can’t think of another scenario, where the audience knows and expects to see a central character, despite others saying he is not- are we all just meant to play along that he is “dead”? It comes to Netflix this month so everyone should at least check it out if you have Netflix. I definitely agree it was a filler flick working towards a much more promising next chapter. Not scary, often funny... I definitely recommend it, but then I'm biased when it comes to Jennifer Tilly/Tiffany/Valentina (hell, she doesn't even know who she is as this point lol).
This movie was great and pushed the franchise in a nice direction. The line about Hannibal was great and it adds to the element that this is taking place not on another universe or world but right here in the present.
My boyfriend Dominic Nick is a hard core fan of Chucky since day one. He is also a major collector of Chucky also. However that being said he does feel some of the Chucky films could have been better. Hes seen them all aside from this new one but he will watch it. He has all the films on DVD again along with a massive collection of Chucky figures and dolls you name it.Hes been collecting for years and years. Hes a major horror fan as long as it has a good story line or lines and is over all well done.
Miguel Gonzalez I watched the movie last night and I really liked it; although I did find the ending a little muddled, but overall still enjoyable. ...and as for the most recent Stephen King adaptation; I found this movie more disturbing then IT; primarily because Gerald’s Game felt more real world; which is sorta obvious when you compare this movies scenario to that of a supernatural alien clown . Lol Ps:: I really don’t want to give anything away, but it made me want to rewatch another Stephen King movie that is eluded to within Gerald Game; which would honestly make for a great back to back double feature.
Geralds game I think was incredibly well made because of the way it can make you feel almost just as vulnerable as Jessie felt on the bed and just completely exposed to anyone

I watched it on both blu ray & Netflix, I noticed that Netflix did not have that little thing at the end of the end credits. I hope I didn't spoil anything for anyone but I suggest they watch it on blu ray if they want to see that little surprise at the end.

I enjoyed the pay off as well , and i dunno if it was just me but everytime Fiona Dourif was on screen i kept thinking she looked like another actress, then i realized Daisy Ridley came to mind so Fiona is like the less known doppelganger of Daisy imo.

The only really bad thing I can think of the last 2 movies is the fact that are direct to video movies and don't have the budget all those mediocre horror films we got over the last couple of years.
I was a fan of the first three movies, which were played as straight horror movies. Bride of Chucky and after that they just became slapstick comedies and the horror elements were never the same. I saw this movie and while it had some nice parts (especially the ending with a throwback to the second movie and that character) I still wasn't feeling the whole "multiple" Chucky elements. I think the movie series as a whole works better when it's focused on just one Chucky, it just felt like too much.
So I watched this by accident last week and I'll say it was a good movie, glad to hear it's gonna be straight to DvD lol just saying. It had one of the most BEAUTIFUL death scenes I've seen in a movie since Death Proof's car crash scene. Comedy was on Fleek! Deff check this one out people! It wasn't total trash...maybe more described as that pesky Coke bottle you left on your backseat that fell off the seat after hitting a stop at a red light and now the damn bottle keeps clanking against the metal sliding thing on your seat...I'd describe this movie as that particular annoyance. 😁 Brush up on your Chucky movies before seeing this because I was lost on whom was whom at times and I've seen most of them with exception of Bride of Chucky and Seed of Chucky.

Quite frankly I thought the seed of chucky and whatever the name of the last one was- was awful. The seed of chucky made me laugh enough that it grew on me and I ended up owning it to go with my collection. But the last film turned me off from chucky completely. When I heard this one came out I literally rolled my eyes cause I knew it would be bad. But now I'm curious to see it because of the tie in of Andy and Tiffany and your comment of the end. But they need to learn when to quit. They've already lost so much of their fan base, me included.
The movie was alright but I was disappointed as to how little Andy is in it. I agree, Alex Vincent may not be the best actor (He's not terrible) but still --- It's Andy Barclay, Chucky's arch nemesis. He should have been more involved in the main story. I know this is an awful analogy but he was kind of like Joker in Suicide Squad here. You really didn't need him.

Saw this last week. I really enjoyed this one. Essentially part 2 of Curse of Chucky. Worst one was Seed of Chucky (in my opinion).
Lee I agree seed sucked so much. For me and my sister our favorite is the 2nd. Then after that Bride of Chucky the first the third and this one!
