Really looking forward to the movie, I didn't notice one of the clowns in the "Room of Clowns" at the end looks just like Tim Curry's version... really makes you think all the different clowns were actually different disguises IT used over the years.
Ok, I just clicked on the video and I hope that I'm not the only that noticed the Pennywise from the 90s miniseries towards the very end when Pennywise jumps at Richie.

GRACE! I'm so excited to see this movie because, while the film wasn't shot in Maine, the story happens to be set in my very own state! Fun fact: Peyton Place was filmed in the town of Camden, Maine, which is where I'm from! Thank you for taking some time in this video to talk about Maine's contribution to Americana and moviemaking. I can't wait for videos from BTT to come once "It" is out!

I really like that the Paul Bunyon statue is behind Mike Hanlon at 9:08. I've been reading the book and recently got past the scene where the statue was featured so it was on my mind. I don't know if they'll include the scene with the statue but it just shows their attention to detail since they have it in the town square.
Bill Skarsgård's slight extropia gives Pennywise that extra otherworldly glint that sends him off the edge of the uncanny valley, and the choice of makeup accentuates it just enough to make it noticeable - great stylistic choice!

For me, the dumbest moment in the trailer, was when that kid decided that it was an oh so great idea to go in the room full of clown statues. If I was that kid, I'd be out asap!
Yeah, but he still walked off to that room himself. Then he got locked in because of his stupidity. In fact, most of the movie involved the kids going off to themselves which is how It screws them over in the first place.

Pennywise's eyes are yellow just after he emerges from the shadow, but they're blue when he's talking to Georgie. Little details like that straight out of the book. I love it.
This movie is amazing, can't wait to see "IT", to many horror films are becoming "clownish", I spend my money wisely now, guess I'm a bit "pennywise". But tbh Stepehn is the "king" of clown horror. Hope this movie really "pops", It "screams" success.

I better like the Idea the film makers ran with earlier! Tilda Swinton would be Pennywise! the looks of Pennywise in this is a bit too menacing! it will scare the shit out of me but I still wont like Pennywise!
Alot of critics and audiences have completely shunned horror and rightfully so. It became the bastard step child of genres which is unfortunate because alot of great filmmakers started their careers with really groundbreaking stuff. My hope is that IT, along with recents like The Witch, It Follows, and The Babadook brings the prestige back to the genre.

Hi Grace, Bill was building a turtle with the Lego set around the time 11.27 in the video.. this is the Turtle that will eventually defeat IT in the sequel. Stephen King intended them to be like the Yin and Yang of this universe. Btw the turtle also appears in The Dark Tower Universe. :)

I noticed that at 11:34 when you point out "Georgie's face reflected in the water" is the start of the famous saying that carries on throughout the rest of the trailer..."YOU'LL FLOAT TOO". I think we will all be floating on the edge of our seats as we all watch this movie in a packed theater getting our nostalgia and inner childhood fears out of us. =)

This movie looks fantastic! The original tv special was such a huge influence on me growing up. I think it played a huge part in my becoming a fan of horror films, particularly supernatural horror films. It's always held a special place in my heart, so I'm happy to see the remake being done with such great care.

I love the way it plays off the creepy veneer that you mentioned last video grace. Like it's interesting to see such a break from the constant "torture-porn" genre that we are so constantly smashed in most horror movies.
I didn't really want to see It because I'm prone to nightmares, but this trailer both freaked me out and actually made me want to see the movie. My neighborhood has the exact same storm drains though, so that'll make walks fun. I think that the blue light you mentioned is actually light reflected off of a buckle on the rain boots the kid is wearing, though I could be wrong. Great review! I always enjoy watching these!
The people who cut this trailer did a really good job. It shows just enough to look like it amplifies the scariest aspects of the IT. I remember having nightmares from the original.

King writes childhood so well. I've not read 'IT' but how he wrote the kids in 'Under the Dome' was the closest I'd seen to that E.T. feel in a novel. I still mourn over that travesty of a TV show they created from such a great book. It should have been a movie and would have fit squarely into the type of film 'IT' is now hoping to be.
Your videos are always interesting and fun and I really, really can't wait to see this movie. I love this novel, it's my favorite horror story, I've read it so many times, the first time when I was 12. By what I've seen so far, in the first teaser trailers and this one, everything looks amazing. The music, all the children and their chemistry, Bowers gang, Derry and of course Pennywise. His voice and costume are just perfect. I'm sure the actor will be a great Pennywise.
As soon as I saw that Paul Bunyan statue in the background behind Mike I was so happy! Everything else was just icing on an already perfectly constructed cake. Is it September yet?
I think the most interesting thing about this breakdown for me was the discussion of stephen king and Maine. As someone who has lived my entire life primarily in Maine (the town pet semetary was filmed in actually, another king classic) I have always loved King's stories. I enjoy how he subverts the ideal of "vacationland" and having Maine be some perfect american place. In reality of course Maine is similar to everywhere else, but a bit more remote, which makes it a great place to set creepy horror stories.
The anticipation is amazing with this movie and I've been waiting for weeks now for them to finally release it!!!! As much as I loved the TV movie version this new 2017 film looks amazing!!!! Loved in the trailer Georgie says in different voices "you'll float too" so scary and I love it. Excited for horror to finally be back and can't wait for September. Great shot by shot grace 😎👍🏻
I like it a lot how the trailer is cut out to give u some jump scares but it seem like on the movie they will build the tension n trill. I'm realy looking forward to see the cast all this kid have realy good experience n tv serries.
I'm really excited for this movie. Not many horror films peak my interest, but this one stands out. Like you said it's "high-brow horror", they've not only done an amazing job on the movie itself, but an even better job with marketing. I'm interested to hear the score, and see how they incorporate it into the movie. I find that specifically in horror movies the score is both very interesting and extremely important. In the trailer it plays really well off of the action on the screen, so i'm interested to see how they use it in the movie (whether it adds to or takes away from the action).

Pennywise can read minds and appear as whatever IT wants to trick people or distract them while IT strikes.

My neighborhood has the exact same storm drains though, so that'll make walks fun. I think that the blue light you mentioned is actually light reflected off of a buckle on the rain boots the kid is wearing, though I could be wrong. Great review! I always enjoy watching these!

The people who cut this trailer did a really good job. It shows just enough to look like it amplifies the scariest aspects of the IT. I remember having nightmares from the original.
It is one of my favorite "movies" even though it was a television event!!!🎈🎈🎈 the message of this movie is just phenomenal!!! "If you want something done right, you gotta do it yourself" 🎈😂😂🤣

IT scared me as a child and now it's chasing me into adulthood. Looks like Pennywise is using my fears against me as well.

King writes childhood so well. I've not read 'IT' but how he wrote the kids in 'Under the Dome' was the closest I'd seen to that E.T. feel in a novel. I still mourn over that travesty of a TV show they created from such a great book. It should have been a movie and would have fit squarely into the type of film 'IT' is now hoping to be.

I love this novel, it's my favorite horror story, I've read it so many times, the first time when I was 12. By what I've seen so far, in the first teaser trailers and this one, everything looks amazing. The music, all the children and their chemistry, Bowers gang, Derry and of course Pennywise. His voice and costume are just perfect. I'm sure the actor will be a great Pennywise.

I think the most interesting thing about this breakdown for me was the discussion of stephen king and Maine. As someone who has lived my entire life primarily in Maine (the town pet semetary was filmed in actually, another king classic) I have always loved King's stories. I enjoy how he subverts the ideal of "vacationland" and having Maine be some perfect american place. In reality of course Maine is similar to everywhere else, but a bit more remote, which makes it a great place to set creepy horror stories.

The anticipation is amazing with this movie and I've been waiting for weeks now for them to finally release it!!!! As much as I loved the TV movie version this new 2017 film looks amazing!!!! Loved in the trailer Georgie says in different voices "you'll float too" so scary and I love it. Excited for horror to finally be back and can't wait for September. Great shot by shot grace 😎👍🏻
I like it a lot how the trailer is cut out to give u some jump scares but it seem like on the movie they will build the tension n trill. I'm realy looking forward to see the cast all this kid have realy good experience n tv serries.

I'm really excited for this movie. Not many horror films peak my interest, but this one stands out. Like you said it's "high-brow horror", they've not only done an amazing job on the movie itself, but an even better job with marketing. I'm interested to hear the score, and see how they incorporate it into the movie. I find that specifically in horror movies the score is both very interesting and extremely important. In the trailer it plays really well off of the action on the screen, so i'm interested to see how they use it in the movie (whether it adds to or takes away from the action).
