- I had the pleasure of flying drones again with one of the best drone pilots in the United States. His name is Rob Camarda.
Unfortunately our flights did not last long. Rob and I were filming the Port Jefferson ferry, the PT Barnum, when Rob’s DJI Mavic 3 Cine went into Atti mode all in its own. Rob tried his best to fly the drone back but the last he saw was the roof top of the Danforth’s Hotel. The drone lost connection at that point. Enjoy the video and see if Rob was able to recover his drone.

Nice footage of the ferry boats. We have the Cape May ferry, which takes you Lewes DE. I have ridden it many times. I'm sorry you weren't able to find Rob's drone, I hope he can get a replacement. Great video, and thanks for sharing Ray.

What a sad story. Did you hit the find my drone? Atti mode is a pain in the ass. My spark used to go into it occasionally and I was able to fly it back and land safely luckily. Is it possible you needed to calibrate the compass? What drone is it and I hope it was insured. Nice footage Ray!
