Sutekh in Pyramids of Mars wears what looks like the Atef crown. That belongs to Osiris, not Set. It is as if he were trying to usurp Osiris' role just like the original god of myth.

If they are sticking to the lore of the earlier series, Sutekh is not really a god, just a very powerful humanoid demanding to be worshipped as one. A bit like Stargate, which also had aliens impersonating Set and other mythological gods. I agree it was anticlimactic how easy he was to defeat in the finale.

very strange finale, it was like the best first part ever and the worst second part ever. acting was very good, but how easy they tricked sutekh and the fact that ruby mom si noone dissapointed me

Did she, was just all a bit silly that she was just a normal human but I guess that’s always been the case with dr who, “ordinary people having the biggest impact”
