Michael Caine said that the only way he would do this film is if he could play it like he was playing it with the Royal Shakespeare Company. Not only is he not weirded out by being surrounded by Muppets, he delivers a great dramatic performance in the role. Fun fact: In the final street scene you see a shop front that says "Micklewhite's". Maurice Micklewhite is Michael Caine's real name.

I think it's a very human take on the character of Arthur Fleck. It makes sense, at least to me, that this is the outcome. We see since the first movie that Arthur is what many would label as a "loser". He's not confident, not very smart, not funny, alone, living with his mother etc. He didn't create or become the Joker. Murray created it. He called him a joker, as in a jester, and he put on the makeup and put on a show. We see small moments like these in the first movie. Two I can think of, is when Arthur kills Murray and then goes to the camera saying "that's life" and it seems that he's crying. The second is right before he puts on the blood smile. The look of resignation on his face, he knows he went too far, but there's no going back. Arthur is such a tragic and sad character. Always alone, putting on the makeup to be the jester of Gotham, having to stand up to such standards constantly, people asking him to tell a joke for instance, and then being completely abandoned by everyone the moment he stops being their toy. He wanted to be loved for the person he was and that never, ever happened.

You should NEVER compare yourself to others, the way you're doing. In life, there will ALWAYS be people in a better position than we are. AND it will appear to be "easier" for them. Don't go down that road. Just find "your thing" and go for it. Ano KNOW that, sometimes, it will mean giving up on some other things in life. And part of it will be "boring". That's how it works 😊. You should check out the 1984 version with George C. Scott playing by far my favorite Scrooge. It's one of the closest adaptations with a stellar cast.

There is no other space-thriller-extraterrestrial movie, ever, that managed to be better than this. Not even closely as good as this one. Best creature ever. The xenomorph and the facehugger idea are simply iconic. "The perfect organism".

You should play Alien Isolation. Best AI ever. AND watch Aliens. The sequel to this.

14:24 yes, they saw it. The extended version has a scene showing parker and Ripley entering that room as the alien is dragging him. That's why parker makes that comment about how big it is.

The non-human looking beings like the giant and the guy with sword arms/hands were not real. The voice over narrating and telling the story to the men is embellishing the story he is telling to hype up the men. The action scenes being shown are the depiction of the story he is telling the men

Just think about what you said, though. After _a bunch of make-believe,_ you're thinking lots of people will believe it. Imagine if we did that with any other genre. Oh, you can just do high-speed car movement weaving through traffic for whatever emergency you have. Sure, the other guy has a gun, but _you_ learned karate. Oh, that thing is going to explode? Well you only need two or three seconds to get far enough away. People who look at fiction and decide to believe it have another name: corpses. So much as I think there _are_ people convinced by fiction like this, I think it's a _small_ number and am _really_ happy that this is the case.

Hello ^^ I just wanted to say please react to "Aliens" from 1986 which is even better than the 1st one but don't forget to get the "special edition/extented cut" ;) Also, if you want another epic journey like lord of the rings, you should definetly react to star wars and the matrix trilogy :)
