Watched all your unboxing and build on this M1A2 kit, Tamiya alway can come up something to impress the model builder, many years ago, I builded a German army anti-aircraft tank ( the one has 2 x 40mm guns with radar on the front and back) it has Full metal tracks which require to build up link by link... I ordered my M1A2 to be delivered soon. i also checked the instruction booklet with all parts that are in the box, in your part 1and 2 unboxing, I did not see a 1.4mm optical fiber for the Co-axle Machine gun in step 40 part #D12..would you please kindly confirm it does came in with the kit.
I would like to suggest reviewing your manual so when you are showing the parts, you will know what parts are as you are reviewing it. I bought a smoke unit from Banggood for $5 . They make other smoke units that are smaller so for yours, I would suggest a smaller unit. Mine is going into a Vintage German made RC fishing Trawler that I upgraded to better RC quality parts. I picked it up at a Goodwill store for $15 in box, all parts and manual but found that the electronics had been shorted out buy water immersion. Apparently all of them did it so the company went belly up. It was a great platform to work with, so I gutted it and added good quality RC and LED lights and servos. Next I am adding the smoke generator. I am going to subscribe to you because I am hoping you do a build series.
i will be doing a build series but it is gonna be a slow process due to me working on other things too and trying to figure out how i am gonna record things with the cameras i have. as far as smoke units i have some from my 3 other tanks but that is something that may or may not come during the build.
mark twain I can relate. Thats aLot of parts!I built a wooden ship model, plank on plank. It took me 3 years to complete because I could only work on it during the winter months.
mark twain Thats the FUN part! I love getting a military style RC plane and adding detail to it. Anyone can drag a cookie cutter plane to the field, but when it has been decked out with detail, guys always stop and ask if I did that myself. I sometimes say" Nope, thats the advanced special order version, you have to have exclusive membership to Bob's Hobby shop. He has them detailed right there in China by little midgets that go right in and...Thats when they laugh....
i have to agree that the detailing is the fun part but only if it turns out good. i detailed my yeti for racing and loved doing it and was so proud of it i took it to work to show it off. my yeti is done in my company colors, and the driver and navigator have matching uniforms. the driver has light up eyes and they both are skeletons.
Looks good but is it durable for off-road driving it often? Liked 👅

its not the amount of parts that will take long, its the detail in to making the tank mine and the way i want it.
