Thank you so much for this video it's been super useful! I've been looking looking at other CRMs but they felt too corporate as a musician - so thank you for this!! Will be trialling them all I think :)
Great roundup! I think Honeybook is running a special for $1 a month for 6 months too. I haven't used it yet, but this seems like a good incentive to try. Thanks for the details and recommendations.
Wondering if there's something that will allow clients to choose a date on the calendar (like they can with honeybook) but go ahead and pay without me having to physically send them an invoice? (even simply sending an invoice in honeybook is a 2+ step process) I know there are use cases for moving the client along through the sales funnel process but a lot of times there are clients who are just ready to book... for example I have a photography studio so some clients just want to book the studio and choose a package... or go ahead and book me for photography and choose a package... without us having to play email tag back and forth.
I am looking for software that would be great for bookkeeping. I want a good onboarding, contract signature, invoice, and any bank statement the client uploads since I don't want bank statements sent via email.
Hey there, have you checked out Quickbooks? It may not be exactly what you're looking for but could be an option. This is also a great question to ask inside the VA Savvies community on Facebook of over 130k VAs that love helping each other! Thanks! facebook.com/groups/vasavvies
Most options out there will have a free trial or a couple of free signatures per month. Check out PandaDoc. www.pandadoc.com/free-electronic-signature-software/
Most, if not all, platforms and tools have a free trial period. We recommend testing out the ones you're most interested in to see which you like best and suit your needs. It will come down to personal preference!
Most CRM software has a forms function to collect information. Outside of that, we like to use TypeForm for forms and surveys. Google Forms is also a good option!
I have been using HOneybook since it very first started. It has changed a lot over the years.. Kinda confusing. But right now I am really struggling. My emails always go in peoples junk mail AND they change their site so much they dont keep up with their SSL certificates
I love honeybook but they're getting ready to raise their prices and they are being ridiculous as to how much they are planning on raising their prices. so now I'm looking for a cheaper alternatives.
Definitely trial some of the others and see what could work for you. Dubsado is another favorite of VAs in our communities and we have a training on it inside the SavvyVault too!
I have found all of these to be way to confusing. Honeybook is not intuitive, bonsai has email issues, Dubsado is bloated. Sorry folks, seems no matter what client automation tool you choose I have found NONE of them to be easy to use. You will spend hours if not days getting it all set up and configured. You will get lost in the navigations, you will spend hours setting something up and find that it doen't work as expected. Might as well stick with spreadsheets. Ugh.
Check out the amazing tech courses inside the SavvyVault! thesavvyvault.com
Love the quick overview (and your hat!). I'm going to check out 17 Hats and Bonsai further. Thanks so much!
You're welcome! Let me know which one you pick!

Glad it was helpful! Those trials come in handy so that you can find the one that will work best for you.

Yes, they are. I signed up a month ago for $1🌷
Honeybook is not available to anyone outside of the US and Canada
What do you think about Paperbell?

Calendly!

I’m looking into dubsado as a photographer/content creator
Dubsado is a great option! Very robust and you can try it for free for the first three clients/customers. You've got this!
I'm looking for a system to just get signatures for contracts, that's it. other than docusign isn't there a free way to get electronic signatures?

Between Honeybook, Dubsado, and Bonsai, which has the best visual design customization for typography, colors, text alignment, form styles, etc?

What do you suggest for just using forms in the studio?
Most CRM software has a forms function to collect information. Outside of that, we like to use TypeForm for forms and surveys. Google Forms is also a good option!
When looking to find the correct software for your business. Do you recommend using the free trial before onboarding clients?
Yes! I would suggest testing it out first before you commit!
Anyone know what happened to Adnimja?

Sorry to hear you're struggling! That sounds like feedback best shared with the Honeybook tech department.
I'm looking for another platform because I found Honeybook not user friendly.

Yes you can for basic tasks like calling VA, Manager VA and after you make some money you can buy a 300 dollar laptop and sky rocket your business.

No problem!

For some folks a good ol' Google Sheet works magic; great tip!
I use HoneyBook (and it's been working great for me), but you're correct, it took me a while to figure it out on my own.
Honeybook its confusing as hell.
Fortunately, most tools out there offer a way to trial the product so you can find which one will work best for your needs!
