Great all around player. Pretty much everything you want in a player. A little time and TLC is all most of them need ❤ Would be cool if you could make a list of the parts/caps the you used during the repair in the video description👍 Love watching the vids, keep em coming! Bravo Magnus👏

Thank you. 🙂 The values are on the capacitors. So when you take them off, just order new ones. Or are you thinking of being able to order new ones to have it ready before the job starts?

I have a dvl-909 coming in this week and thanks to your video on it and these others I feel really confident and sort of getting it cleaned up and maintained. Thank you so much for your great information.
But if I could suggest a video, I would love to see an in depth take on calibration for the laser and all that goes into it. Not so much to do it but to learn from it.
    Thanks again 👍

Thank you. 🙂 think that I need to have a more subscribers, to make a detailed video of calibration. It will be quite time-consuming, but maybe in the future. In the meantime you can watch this original calibration video from PIONEER: th-cam.com/video/FIMBrbRPRro/w-d-xo.html

I think this one is easy to add Optical output too as well, the footprint is on the mainboard, just need a couple of parts and make a hole in the rear panel. Great job as always, very thorough service. When the player is 'working fine' with this maintenance do you bother to check the calibration such as tracking, tilt, focus etc ?

Yes, it's easy, but it's not economical unless someone pays me to do it. This is to be sold. No calibration, unless I notice something is obviously out of spec. If I had had to calibrate + adding optical output. I would have been lucky if I had gone to zero and not minus after sales. This is not a player who goes for big money locally.

The card of my CLD-925 is broken.
    All components seem ok!
I'm going to change some capacitors. Should I change them all like you or just some?
after cutting the tabs of the components you use a product to clean the barck of the card with a cotton swab: what is this product? Thank you

I change them all when it's on a power supply. If you only replace the bad ones, it's only a matter of time before more break. I use industrial isopropanol on a cotton swab.

@@Magnus.Skovrand I replaced all the capacitors but the player still doesn't start and the red LED doesn't shine! What do you recommend?

@@Younewman Start measuring with a multimeter and find the issue or take it to a repair shop.
