7:38 I have the same power supply for my laser disc player, but my power supply has some sort of dead short. Every time I replace the fuse it blows, even if I disconnected the whole board and had it outside of the machine it would still blow, so I wound up replacing the board because I didn’t have the proper equipment to test the board. What would cause a dead short in it?
Hard to answer without having that power supply on my bench for measurements. There can be many reasons for that. The most common cause on this psu that is in the video is the arc suppressor 14:00
Nice work! Very thorough on re-greasing everything. Did you glue the piece of plastic to the silver rod in the loading mechanism? I couldn't tell from the video.
Just got this player and it stopped playing LDs after one day but still plays DVDs and CDs. Hoping to find a solution soon so i dont have to get rid of it
I’d love to see a repair video for the laser flipping mechanism. That’s the problem with mine currently.
If I get a player that has that problem, then it will be possible.

Thanks. I never show all lubrication points in the videos, but some of them in each video. Yes, I glued it to the shaft of the motor 21:31
