The v6 and v8 drink gas the same amount and the fact that you're going to put weight on it, you shouldve went with the v8, the power is so much better but regardless congrats on getting the 4runner, I love how it currently look with lift and the wheels. I have the V8 and my friend have the v6, we compared the gas mileage and it averaged the same
Thanks man!
Yeah it’ll be a learning experience I’m sure. And it’s very possible that the v6 could drink like the v8. Once the main parts of my build are complete I’ll have to meet up with one of you v8 guys and test it out!😉👍🏾
Only a 23hp an 40ftlb difference bothing a plenum spacer tb spacer good intake and header can't fix
Just bought a 4th Gen Runner V8 yesterday! Looking forward to watching you build yours out!
Thanks! I have a few videos lines out that will be dropping weekly or bi weekly.
The lift kit on it looks sick👌🏾👀
Congrats I plan on doing the same 4Runner overlander
Thanks man! Sick! You’ll love it!!!
Stoked for the 4Runner content!
Thanks man!!!
Just discovered your channel, great videos, love the 4Runner upgrades
Welcome aboard! Thanks!!!
Making me miss my 4Runner!!!!
I love em man!
I got my lift and wheels on now, just wait until I drop that video in a couple weeks!
What MPG did you end up getting after all the upgrades? I’m guessing 13 to 15 mpg around town.
I’m in the high 11-low 12’s in the city and about 14 on the highway, but I’m super heavy right now with front and rear bumpers and larger tires and I’m not regeared either
@@Garrett_Logan Yeah, I was trying to be optimistic I knew you were probably getting around 10 to 12 mpg. My 99 Rodeo with stock tires and a 2 or 3” lift gets about 13 mpg around town 😢 but I love driving it. I may buy a 97 3rd GEN 4Runner in the new year.
What year is your 4th gen 4runner?
It’s a 2005
@@Garrett_Logan nice! I been debating between 05 style or the O6+ do you know the difference between them besides cosmetic Style?
@@superipodmanvik I think the cosmetic style is really it. I prefer the 06+ but it’s all kind of the same at the end of the day lol
@@Garrett_Logan Yeah i might go with the 05 then if it's the Same Engine power of the 06-09.
How much did you pay for it? I was looking at an 07 with similar miles.
I paid 8k for it.
Thanks
My 04 v8 gets better gas mileage than my 2021 Tacoma TRD off road gets
Yeah my buddy has a v8 and had a Tacoma and he said the exact same thing
What? Bro i just waiting to see some upgrades lol, what a deception
Lol check out the next video😂
Once you build it out you get better gas mileage with v8 especially if running bigger tires with heavy build. My built 4Runner zips around better than my wife’s stock fj cruiser with the 5th gen v6. Don’t no if 4th gen v6 is stronger but after comparing my v8 with wife v6 I could not live with the v6 lower RPM torque.
Yeah man I think you’re probably right. I didn’t really know much when I started or even before I bought the truck. I think in the end the v6 might get about the same gas mileage to be honest, but I won’t know completely until I get the rear bumper on and regear. But that’s why I’m figuring out all the do’s and don’ts so other people know what to do and what not to do when building their rig lol😂
