I don't understand the thought process of some people, if someone becomes addicted because it's "highly addictive" does that makes it more "okay" to die from this poison? It really doesn't. EVERY life taken is a life lost due to this poison. For those to decipher lives is just unethical, shameful and with prejudice. Fentanyl is a poison made to kill. NOBODY should be dying from this poison. Its murder. This is a weapon of mass destruction.
As a former addict myself: I can see why this is so dangerous. No one really tries drugs for the 1st time expecting to die. They're mostly just trying to experiment. 😔
Endometriosis surgery is extremely painful for a long while after. This poor young woman losing her life trying to kill her pain. The person who gave it to her should be charged. Taking Fentanyl is like playing Russian roulette. My deepest sympathy to her family and friends. ❤

Taking prescription drugs tainted with Fentanyl is illegal.
It's not roulette if u dont have a tolerance just touching it can kill u I personally lost 2 family members and 7 friends all from one time usage of fentanol if u get it from the hospital or health practitioner that's different and a controlled amount but from the streets it's instant death.

I have had 2 endometriosis surgeries and just living with endometriosis daily is tough . When I went to pain management I had severe knee , hip , back and leg pain but the dr advised that it was due to endometriosis. I’m so sorry to hear about this beautiful young woman . 💜
I got the news yesterday that my brother is brain dead and won’t recover from his fentanyl poisoning. It’s such a devastation to my family and I. I already lost my child’s father in August from the same thing. We need to do more and make more awareness.
I lost my only child. Nothing anyone can say will make it better. Its just so f## up and just not okay. It's really hard to wake up everyday. Keep your faith in God.

This breaks my heart in tiny pieces. I was friends with Angelina during middle and high school. She was truly a nice, beautiful, one of a kind person that left us too soon. We lost contact after graduating. Years have past and I have wanted to get in touch with her again only to find out about this tragedy. She was poisoned unfortunately. May she rest in peace. I tried to have a conversation with my ADULT niece recently about fentanyl. Her parents and grandmother got angry at me! I ignored them because I could not care less about their opinions. They think because they are well off that their children would never get involved with drugs. They have no idea what their kids are up to. I'm thankful that their kids confide in me and I can educate them as much as possible. Parents need to wake up.
@@janiestla5945 you're so right! The barn I board my horse at has a lot of teenage girls from very wealthy families...horse show kids. They are into everything. They think they're untouchable. And their parents ignore them most of the time. We lost one of our grooms from fentanyl two years ago. Super sweet guy with a 5 year old daughter. Such a waste.
It is really terrible when a person in chronic pain cannot get pain medicine. In the small town and even larger towns in the area, even the “pain clinics” will not prescribe pain medicine!! Then they wonder why a lot of those people turn to anyone who will give them something, and they die!??!??

I struggled with excruciating chronic pain and migraines for 18 years everyday, I’ll be 29 in May. My pain was taken as an absolute JOKE. I was treated like a drug seeker simply bc I diligently sought help. I thought I would die in that pain but thank God He had other plans. I’m almost completely pain free now, no medication involved, and it saddens my heart that this young girl only wanted what I wanted. Freedom.
I have chronic nerve pain due to stroke I had in 2009. The pain is unbearable 24/7. I became an addict I used to take 12-18 Norco a day. Until I tried Fentanyl, I almost died the first time. Thank God, my new doctor has helped me a lot.
Pain pills are actually chemically similar to heroin. So the idea is to not be on them IF you can at all avoid it because some people become dependent and you don’t know who it will be until It happens. There are many other things you can do to alleviate pain. Personally, I would try anything but the opioid crap. That to me is for major pain surgery and rare instances of chronic pain. In the video they are talking about illicit fentanyl which has nothing to do with the opioids your dr prescribes. The precursors are manufactured in China (think CCP) shipped into Mexico and put into fake pills and sold deceptively on the streets to sometimes unknowing young people
I’m soooo sorry for your loss. She looked like such a nice person. It’s only takes a few grains of Fentanyl to kill, scary. Sniffer dogs at the airports are dying just from smelling it through luggage.

This could have been me. I dealt with endometriosis for years, until I had my hysterectomy. I was prescribed pain meds for years, and was addicted within the first couple months. I'll have 5 years of sobriety this May.

I’m tired of doctors being so clueless about pain management….specially where it involves someone that clearly still needs it. They cut off people suddenly just so they don’t get into a problem with their governing body…knowing that if that patient is still in significant pain, there is a clear chance that they may seek painkillers on the street as a last resort..

She would probably still be here…the fact that only half of a pill caused her death tells me that she had little to no tolerance to the drug…which would occur with repeated use….peace be with you

you can try Tylenol, and 800 mg ibuprofen a few hours later, that works for most pain. pain care from the pharmacy isn't what kills most of the time. nits the street drugs.
As a nurse I remembering we all handed out narcotics right and left (prescribed of course) being convinced and told that if you’re in pain you won’t get addicted! Now we have swung the complete other way! We need balance. This poor child she is such a beautiful girl. My condolences.
Correct, had her doctor given her pain meds and monitoring her., Angelina wouldn't of gone to her friend and died. There are thousands of people just like this dying not from addiction but from uncontrollable pain because they just wanted relief and took a pill from someone. So terribly sad. Government shouldn't mess with what they don't understand. Leave the Doctor's and their patients alone.

I pray none of them suffered like this!!! God have mercy on my ignorance!!! I never wanted to see people hurting and suffering so I was quick to advocate for relief. I got involved with pain pills when I got a back injury about 20 years ago the pain was so bad I would take anything this could have been me but fentanyl wasn't around back then.your daughter just wanted the pain to stop sorry for your loss
Yes, you're lucky it wasn't here yet. but you can still help-tell people NEVER take street drugs. the fentanyl comes to Mexico, via China, and is then imported into the United States. dealers are taking tiny specks of fentanyl, and putting in to their products, which are street bought pills, that are fake, but look real, and herion and cocaine, into which fentanyl is mixed by dealers, to give their buyer a better high supposedly. if a person ids addicted, they can get on Suboxone, and carry narcan, and fentanyl testing strips.
I had endometriosis it’s very painful and unfortunately people aren’t aware of this disease and don’t know what it is.. I was taking ibuprofen for 2 years before I got diagnosed and got operated. I was lucky I got better after the operation, but many women don’t and have to life with this disease and the pains 24/7… only women that have this disease know what the pains is like! How unfortunate this situation for this family… I feel there pain!!
I suffered from endometriosis myself & let me tell you that it would literally knock me off my feet bc it was extremely painful! I went thru surgery to get it fixed & it was HELL but it only helped for a while that I finally had to have a partial hysterectomy because it was just too much for me 😢 so sorry for your loss 💔💔

So sorry to see another young bright life lost again , she was extremely talented & as a Cat lover myself I always wished I was a cat in my hard teen age time & still adore them today. I've had / have struggles with opiates for 20 + years now , I started taking them to numb my mental pain + Mom had cancer in 2001. God Bless The Rodgers Family .
Doctors are in such a hard place..they want to provide pain relief but such risks with the meds..the ones with less risk may not work well, the ones that work the best have such a dependency, addiction potential..which one never wants to be the cause of. Very tough for everyone.
This is heartbreaking. Too many beautiful, young, young innocent souls lost to this demon drug. It's taking their life and, no THEY DON'T WANT TO DIE. I'm so sorry for all these mothers, and fathers who had to bury their child. 😢😢

I work in healthcare and there are therapeutic doses of fentanyl literally in micrograms but there is no such thing as fentanyl in a legal pill form it is not prepped this way and since ppl are sneaky please just don’t take anything. You're not the first mom on this channel to say they didn't know what Fentanyl was. This shocks me. I live in WV where Fentanyl is the drug of choice and people are dying left and right every day. I'm so sorry you had to suffer such a great loss 🙏
That sucks, it helps to tell them to go get easily available fentanyl test strips, and to carry Narcan. pharmacy bought drugs do not kill. its the street bought pills, they look real, and are made by pill presses. also they from from china, go into Mexico, then come to the u s a. people can call 911 if necessary for any o d. and they won't bee arrested for possession either. its a good idea to go to a psychiatrist or therapist
and get a sublocasde injection every few mos. and also, Suboxone really helps these people kick the habit. maybe you can help spread this info to them (?)

I think there isn't enough awareness about counterfeit pills. I think a lot of these young people really believed that they were pain pills. Should they be taking pills not prescribed to them? No. But if they are really in emotional or physical pain & they get it from someone they believe to be trustworthy, it probably doesn't seem that risky to them - especially if they've taken them before bc of a surgery or something.

There are a lot of people who suffer with chronic pain and the doctors refuse to help them because of their quotas. These are the people I worry about because they go to the streets to get drugs and now they are laced with Fentanyl. There has to be a better way to help these people. I just don't know what the answer is. I feel so bad for this lovely girl and her mama.

I had knee replacement surgery, which was very painful, but my doctor refused to give me pain pills after the surgery. I am 68 years old and I had pain for four years until it was decided it was a nerve pain. Even at my age, if someone gave me a pain pill, I would have taking it.
its not the pharmacy prescriptions that are killing folks, rather the street bought, fake pills, that look liked retrial ones, that are laced with fentanyl.

I hate that her daughters life was taken possibly bc doctors can't or won't give patients that are truly suffering, adequate pain medicine bc they have to cover their behinds.
That sweet young girl took 1/2 of a pill. She obviously was needing relief & not a drug addict. This story really breaks my heart. That poor girl should have been treated by her doctor legally.

We need both, a quick solution and a long-term solution to this awful problem. Our local and federal politicians need to get together in a nonpartisan meeting of the minds to combat this once and for all. First they need to provide money for continuous and extensive drug education that would be age appropriate and science-based/fact-based. Part of the education needs to include coupons or vouchers to purchase (for free) narcan and fentanyl test strips. Also, our government needs to figure a way to aggressively deal with the cartels. They do stop huge shipments of fentanyl coming through our legal ports of entry, but they need to somehow cutoff the supply in other ways as well.

Its an epidemic , global crisis now. Too msny young people, partying on toxic drugs, and overdosing causing death. The last 2 generations , didn't injest these lethal drugs. Very tragic! Sorry for your lose, your daughter did not deserve this. 😢 Unfortunately a lot of these cases are the same types of people. There in pain, or they can’t sleep and they’ll take anything that will give them relief. Not questioning, or considering what there taking. Please, if this is you, never! Ever! Take a pill from anyone to help you sleep or relieve your pain! This could be the last thing you take in this world. Talk to loved ones, they will help you the best they can. Not people that you thought you knew?

Your daughter seemed very driven having a good job already and doing well and a very pretty gir. It's such a heartbreaking way to lose a child, just so senseless and only half a pill. All these parents say there is no investigation and I am wondering if it's bc there are so many dying from this fentanyl and it seems like a lost cause. That reason is not a good one for sure.

okay. and here's some more info. .it comes in from China, goes into Mexico, then comes up here. They have pill presses that make pills that look exactly like the real thing. never should anyone buy pills, or coke or heroin from the street. power drugs are laced too. the dealers shave off bit, to sell a stronger high. if someone hasn't used in a while, their tolerance is down, they are more likely to o d. people can carry Narcan, fentanyl testing strips, and if they are addicted, get on sublocade or Suboxone. NEVER buy from the streets. synthetic fentanyl, and carfentaqyl, an elephant tranquiler, is around. kids can be naive, or too adventurous. thanks for your post. please. spread the word

Endometriosis is very painful my daughter is going through this right there. The only time the doctor ever gave her pain meds was after her surgery and it was just for 3 or 4 days. I can see how this could happen.
They are precious people with addictions for the most part. They shouldn’t of died. So very sad
I have suffered from veryyy painful cramps growing up and so i totally get that, i would always get pain meds from my mom for this very reason not wanting to go get it randomly😢.

This child and this mother just didn’t know better. This is a tragedy, and I’m proud of the mother for having the raw courage and guts to share.
1. No street drug is safe anymore. Not even weed. Carrels make high amounts OG fntnl cheaply in high capacity factories. They the cut everything with it.
2. This is not an epidemic that cares that you’re rich, live in a safe community, or have the perfect child. This kid was about as close to perfect as it gets. Half a pill. Gone.
We need to Impress on everyone that street drugs can I’ll you in one dose, not out of inflated morality, but because this is without exaggeration putting your six shooter to your head with 6 bullets loaded and hoping the hammer jams.
