In the comics, Oliver falls in love with a Black Canary from a parallel universe. The creators of the show have just announced that Laurel will return in both the Flash and LOT TV shows (rumored to have her metahuman Canary Cry), so maybe this is setting up that storyline? Also, Laurel was never really like the Black Canary from the comics (Sara was more like the comic Black Canary instead) and I never really wanted Laurel to take over Sara's job of Black Canary. I mean, White Canary is pretty cool and all, but it's just not the same. Laurel's costume always looked off, and having her wear a wig just made her look strange. I'm not saying I wanted her to die, I'm just saying that she should have done her job as assistant DA/DA and not have gotten involved. What if she had been exposed as the Black Canary? A vigilante? She would have lost all credibility and Damien's trial would have fallen flat.

I'm done with this show completely, Laurel was by FAR the most fleshed out character on the bloody show... i wonder if they are looking to end the show or something? or perhaps looking for a way to bring in Vixen? at this point... Laurel Lance is to Oliver Queen what Lois Lane is to Superman. I was fine with the Felicity/Oliver relationship because I'm always open to new interpretations, but flat out killing Laurel off was a step taken too far. This season of Arrow has played out more like a soap opera than the comic book hero show that it needs to be.

Laurel Lance is to Oliver Queen what Lois Lane is to Superman. I was fine with the Felicity/Oliver relationship because I'm always open to new interpretations, but flat out killing Laurel off was a step taken too far. This season of Arrow has played out more like a soap opera than the comic book hero show that it needs to be.

+Jared Studer Exactly I didn't cry when Laurel died or when Captain Lance showed up, but I cried real tears for the rest of the FandomReactions video once Nicky said "Someone make it stop!". It got worse every time she said something it was so heartbreaking.

Im sorry, its not a fake. I found out this morning and i was crying my eyes out on the way to work. At 11:59 P.M. EST, i will be rising a glass to our loved family member Laurel Lance. Her death is a true lost to all of us. I will miss Katie Cassidy as a member of team Arrow and what she has done. This was a heartbreaking reaction to us as fans and like all of you out there, i still can't hold back the tears. Team Black Canary for life.

I think I'll go back to binge watching Smallville. They atleast had the sense to not kill off Lois Lane or Lana Lang (despite dragging that toxic relationship out godawfully long). Oh, and you get to see Black Canary the way she was always supposed to be - in fishnets!! *lmfao*. Oh and the Canary Cry (Sonic Scream) is a part of her and not caused by a device.

They invent a sister kill that charecter twice and bring them back even though I still don't buy Lazerus Pitt after that long in the ground. They did it just for the Oilicity shippers. I can't stand that ship only thing that makes less sense is Captain Swan in OUAT. Then again I just heard a Rumor that Felcity will become new Black Canary so that makes even less sense and will just anger Laurel fans.
