- Sometimes, it gets worse before it gets better...in an effort to reorganize my craft closet, I emptied the entire thing out, decluttered, and tired to put it back together. Quite the process! Join me for a little inspiration in getting your space organized!

I don’t like to use boxes where I can’t see what is inside. For me, out of sight is out of mind and a label on the box usually doesn’t help. The only bad part is that plastic storage bins are not true squares or rectangles because they are molded with rounded edges which creates unusable space.
First off, I totally recommend the Home Edit bins from Walmart...they are perfectly straight on the sides, so no wasted space. I also love clear organization for the most part, but for seasonal items, it is nice to store it out of sight. No need to stare at Christmas crafts in July, at least for me!
I love the craft closet idea! Once my son moves out, his bedroom becomes my craft room. 😊

My daughter is 31 and her old room is what I call my librario. It's my art studio/library and also my desktop where I do most of my writing is in there too! I don't ever want to live in a house without a librario for the rest of my life!!
I did that, too! When my last daughter moved out, it became my craft room. Then I had the opportunity to work from home, so had to switch it up as my office for work-their computer, etc. I had to downsize me to just a laptop, but that worked ok since I was just a cross-stitch crafter. When I retired at 62, I went all out. Got some cricut machines, a big 'ole vintage desk that works great with my dad's old desk chair. A new white computer and have slowly been making my closet for storage. It's my pink, girly room in the house with a comfy thrifted chair I recovered, too.

Your craft closet is what I use for “My Nook”. I have one Alex drawer under my countertop, shelves up both sides and across the top two like a “U”, then just outside of my nook I have the taller Alex drawer on my right. This year’s resolution is to not buy any craft supplies. I must use what I have! It makes me get creative with what I have on hand. “My Nook” is in my laundry room😊 Love your space!!

This will be interesting, I have a small extra room for my crafts, which I have a closet for my clothes. I’m trying to figure out a way to use some of the closet for craft supplies. I love pouches too, pencil and makeup.😅

Great job organizing! I am constantly shifting things around, decluttering. Now my room needs a serious dusting/deep clean!
It always feels good to get it freshened up and maintained. Even the best systems have to be reset every now and then.
I love how you organized all that! It looks great!! Today my daughter came over and we hung up a towel rack for my stencils and 18 shelves for washi, the same kind you have. I dont think i have enough washi to fill up all the shelves, which is fine, because I have a million and one other little things I can put on there. I somehow didn't know ordering 3 boxes meant 18 shelves, but i am definitely not complaining!!!!! Thanks for all the great inspiration and practical advice!!
Girl, trust me, those shelves will come in handy - great for holding your paints and mixed media items!

I'm an open storage person. I buy clear storage boxes (from The Container Store, Dollar Tree, and Temu) to store my art/craft supplies in. All my boxes sit on my bookcase shelves which surround my three desks (think U shape). I don't have drawers. Clear boxes are my drawers. Your new craft room is beautiful. I'm excited for you. :o)

I have one planner don't get multiple planner things I just buy new calendar pages. I just redid my craft room yea I built new furniture to 2 desks that my husband ma risers to raise them up higher and 2 cabinets 😊

I had those eco printers girl when the printer needs too be upgraded or send out for repair you have too ship them dry so kinda hard too remove the ink out if your printer doesn’t work. Cause the tanks don’t come out..lolli
Mine are getting plenty of use, so hopefully they do not dry out.
Mine didn’t dry out ..Mine was a warranty issue that needed too be sent out to get fixed.Keep Crafting

Happy planners are a whole planning system....like those old school paper planners we all had in school, but updated and fun for decorating, organizing, and being creative in.
