- wonder what my brother, Albrey, and I love to do together? We love spending time on the water together and this video shows a typical day off Jupiter! Sarah is an absolute doll and beautiful in every sense of the word. I'm sure you both realize how blessed you are to share your lives together. Thank you so much for sharing them with us. I'm 60 yrs, handicapable, in a wheelchair for the last four years, but was once an avid hunter/fisher/gatherer and still participate AMAP, mostly because of inspiring fellow survivalists like you. I agree with Fungus! Lionfish is an invasive species that is devastating local fish populations in the areas not only around Florida, but other coastal areas on the east coast up into the New England area and Gulf of Mexico along with multiple zones from Central America going down along the South America coast. The State of Florida encourages everyone to go out and remove as many of them as possible before there aren't any local fish species left to fish. Lionfish eat everything! Also, be very careful in handling them as their spines will cause excruciating pain. Go watch videos on how to catch and handle them before trying it yourself. Check out this link. It shows that you already have the problem over there along the entire coast of Texas. Educate yourself on safely harvesting these fish so you don't get hurt, and be a part of the solution to try to control this pest by removing as many of them as possible from your local waters. You should trim the venomous spikes off with a pair of clippers before you fillet it so you don't accidentally get stung

Yes you can eat lion fish actually. From what I have heard its really good too.

Thank you for the wonderful video Rob, I never knew that you could eat Lionfish until seeing your video on catching and fileting them. I have had them in my saltwater tank before and they get very aggressive the bigger they get, they eventually with eat the other smaller fish in the tank. Now I know when that happens just eat them. LOL not when they're $40.00 apiece for one that's only four inches long. Gosh I'm looking at the forty some longish you had and thought multiply that times fifty bucks a fish and that's one heck of a haul. LOL that's retail almost two grand.
