Once your armor is destroyed, you will jump out of the mech with 150 HP, regardless of how much you had before jumping out. The pilot and the mech have separate Ultimate meters. You can't build it up as the mech and charge in thoughtlessly. Once you jump out, you'll be at whatever charge she had last in Pilot mode (usually 0%). While outside of the mech, you passively build Ultimate charge, currently at a rate of 1% per second, and her pistol currently builds charge at a ridiculous rate. If you unload your entire clip into an enemy, you will be at full charge.
+Ruger Manzer The only reason I'd play as her is the invincible shield to negate every other random ultis. The weapons seem to be low damaging outside medium range, and even the ulti is more suitable for clearing out areas rather than eliminating people because of the long windup time.

+Kaemer() I dunno, the windup time is very long and it makes a loud noice to warn about the boom. Just guessing but I'd say it will just make the enemies scatter around while doing a ton of chip damage.
+Kaemer() The payoff of doing the move is still more considerable than for the other heroes, you're giving up all your other abilities and 70% of you hp just for doing one ulti. High risk high reward.

I can play as her character forever. xD The style of being able to jump in and out of a fast mecha is really enjoyable and really changes how the game feels.

She is definitely an unique take on the tank class. It's pretty cool how her combat mecha can counteract projectiles, and the blast radius for the self-destruct ability is not only large, but is incredibly powerful (which makes up for it's slow build up). I wasn't expecting her to be able to eject from the mech and move around freely, but I hope her pistol and her speed can compensate with her low health, which is reduced to 150 from 500. All in all, I can definitely see players using her to defend capture points, and there is a lot of risk vs. reward for this character. In short, D.Va & her semi-big-but-not-giant robot both look like a blast to play.
Overwatch seriously deserves its own tv show, comic, or movie. I'm looking at this and it reminds me so much of Justice League or Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

Does this remind anyone else of Samus from Super Smash Bros? We have the mech. The ult does tons of damage and removes your suit. When the suit is gone, you only have a blaster and a blue leotard (jumpsuit?), and when you get your ult without the mech, you become said mech. Seems awfully familiar.
At first, I had some uncertainties about her design, but then I saw that her mech looks like a gigantic, purple, robotic plucked chicken going out for a jaunty little stroll. Never mind, her design is perfect and awesome. Carry on.

Sorry. Big fan of this this character. Just wish she had more to offer. I noticed there's at least 3-4 dead buttons that don't do anything... Especially after she exits her mech. Very limited mobility... and (no missiles?) you would think a mech would have missiles...

TheInsanitor actually now that I have played the game, its not that strong at all. Didnt know all terrain blocks it
+Matěj Rytych Yup, easily countered by Reinhardts shield, or Meis icewall or a small box. It is useful though for control on certain locations. It's prob not going to be one of those "play of the game" ults, but more of a control.
