    I am sorry but I am sick of these kind of men. They abandon their kids and cause irrepairable damage and then when they are old they get to reap the benefits of being a father when it was never earned all in the name of forgiveness. • @yvonneosedumme5441
      @yvonneosedumme5441 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Tabaitha_Elle Agreed. If I did not know my father - Unless my mother has prevented mr from knowing my father, or there is another very good reason for that's man's absence, I would not have the time of day for a father who p***ed off and got on with his life and then decides to be a parent, to myself, as an adult child - regardless of who initiates the reconnection.
      Useless fathers out there will think; why bother to be a responsible parent - both in terms of being around / available, developing a loving relationship with your child and providing financially, if the child will come and look for them when they are older and be craving their prescence, same way. Of course the absent father doesn't mind, as the hard work is out of the way and the parent may even benefit if the child has done well financially and is willing to support the aging parent.
      Anyway, it's a personal choice and no offence is intended towards anyone who feels differently. People have different tolerance and forgiveness thresholds !

      These men set the bar very low for fatherhood then look around and wonder why so many adult males are unable to function in society. They also sit around criticizing the parent that kept the child.
      Kelly should not have forgiven this “man”. She had the nerve to compare her imperfections as a parent to her fathers absence. Kelly is is need of a real wake up call. • @DoveVzn

      She’s not making excuses for him. She’s simply just pointing out that a lot of people don’t know how to move on from generational curses because that’s all they know. They don’t seek out the resources and tools that can help them grow into better individuals and parents. A lot of them want to, but they don’t know where to start. She can sit there and blame everything on him, she can sit there and hold hate in her heart forever because of him not being present. But why do that when you can try the other option of giving that bond a risky try and hoping and praying that he can be man enough to admit and right his wrongs? If it don’t succeed, at-least she can say she tried.

      This may not be just a generational curse she said that his fathers before him have the same issues their father didn't raise them this is a issue from slavery u have to understand that mindset that still exists today nobody ever talk about it but there are some issues in the DNA of the black culture that runs from slavery still living today even if u are "successful " in the land of ur captivity they were not allowed to claim or raise their own seed that came from them this is why we are not to judge anyone on certain matters I attempt to listen and learn I don't always understand or agree but I'm very familiar with what it feels like not to have ur Father in ur life.

      @DoveVzn 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@amsegulah6033 aftermath of slavery can result in generational curses. When people never learn from their parents or the ones they were around, it can be hard to break every chain. Kelly knows the risks she’s taking. But I don’t think it’s healthy for an individual to forgive but still hold resentment. And the other commenters are still focused on “well he wasn’t there” or “he wouldn’t care if she wasn’t famous”. They don’t know that. That’s not even true forgiveness. If Kelly thought like that (which I’m sure those thoughts ran through her head), she wouldn’t be glowing the way she is now. Sometimes people deserve second chances.

    Well it works for Kelly; good for her. But it's a straight up *NO* from me. Another 'deadbeat' Dad who now gets to show up and talk about the 'different' sides to the story. And men who say they weren't ready to be a Father? Excuse me....then wear a condom. Once the child is here you *HAVE* to get ready.....that's what a responsible man or woman owes to their child. Not abandon them for years. Now Kelly's Mother is no longer here; easy for him to offer some BS since Kelly's Mother is no longer around. 💯 not keen about men who don't provide the love, emotional support and finances a child requires when growing up.

    I feel sorry for black women--the mothers. They have all the pain, sacrifice, hard work, and love but they are never truly appreciated. The fathers leave but get to come back and say loving words or try to say their position after the mother who sacrificed and stayed is gone and can't correct. I am happy she reconnected with her father, but her mother did the work.

Dont work hard or love anything and above all they leave.....even though the data shows black women file for divorce 90% of the time. Perhaps we should look at each case individually and look at the value system each person uses in their life. That is were the pain sacrifice and other stuff should be focused.

    One thing I learned from being angry and hurt by my parents is that if I was sure of anything, it is that I had to extend compassion. Loved but not supported financially through life when she could not care for herself!, is inexcusable!! Beyonce's parents did more than this man. I would have more respect for these men if they said they Loved their child so much that the created a TRUST FUND $$$ for the day they could reunite with their child. I did not know Kelly was a child of parental alienation. Im glad they found a bond. Please keep an open heart for parents when one parent tells you their ex doesn't care about you. Just imagine the number of years, events and memories that were missed. Glad they didnt let life end without resolution.

      @Day Actually Kelly confirmed her mother's handling of the situation. Kelly was under the impression she didnt need a dad when she was younger and a child does not arrive by that conclusion alone.

      Ms Brown you seem to be an awesome & wise person! I am experiencing this issue presently. I raised my daughter & went through a divorce when she was 17 yrs old and she wants nothing to do with me! We have 0 communication & haven't spoken in over 6 or 7 years!

      @Day I love the last part: the one who stayed. I can almost guarantee that he is giving HIS version that keeps him from being accountable. He’s lying IMO. He didn’t know that his daughter moved for four years? So he didn’t care if his child ate, went to school, was getting abused, was hurt?

      @Day Something isn’t right. I think she has just moved on to the point where she just wants a relationship and doesn’t care to be rational. He’s full of shit.

    Well this is a license for all the deadbeats who left the mom to do all the hard work. Funny how his account can't be challenged now that her mom is gone.

    I don't think people truly know what forgiveness is. It's for you. And forgiveness doesn't mean you have to have that person in your life, anymore - EVER. You can forgive and let things be.

    she better than me. I don't think I could have forgiven. if she weren't a celebrity I could understand but I would be thinking he's only around because of her celebrity status and money. look at doja and her deadbeat daddy who now wants a relationship because she's a superstar.

    Sad. Another black male who abandoned his child. Kelly Rowland did great and I hope her and her mom are prospering.
