any recommendations for the best companies for Surety bonds (BMC-84)? also, I notice on the FMCSA website it says you can file for your BOC-3 yourself if you're a broker in your state, is this recommended or do you recommend getting an agent/representative even in the state you live in?
I had cdls for about 2 years and never got to really use them due to a better job coming my way when I got out the army. Does a transport background really matter?
Someone told me that in order start a freight brokerage you need to have 75k in the bank. That the fmcsa is no longer allowing you to get bonded for that 75k
Thanks brother. Im thinking about going into the freight broker business within the next few months.

International Sureties with Jessica Palmeri. Also, file BOC-3 using an agent and not yourself.
but how much can that insurance that you mentioned, the one that costs up to $75k?
You are referring to the surety bond - BMC 84. It depends on your credit. Range can be between $750 and $3,000
Please I need help …where can I go to download a carrier package for brokers?
Try Google or TH-cam. If you are one of our students, it is in our portal back office.

@@johnnysantos3997 Yes. Please consult your CPA/Accountant.

That was the second thing mentioned.
That’s literally the second thing he mentioned
You pay $75,000 every year ?
Yes. You pay a small premium annually in order to have a $75,000 coverage. Kind of like insurance.
You don't actually pay the $75k a year, you may pay a premium which would be anywhere from $1k to $8k depending on your credit score.
If you never drove a truck for any duration that person should be outlawed
