I just dropped off my 16 Challenger RT yesterday at the performance shop with this exact cam I can’t wait to hear it in person and feel the power gains. I got LongTube headers 3.09 diff and the cam that’s being added shoutout to FRP
Hey man do you have the 392 active runner controller or no? If not is that why you have the dip at 4,200? And if you don’t have one yet have you considered picking It up to get the high end increases too?
I took my car to Fullblown performance to get my 392 exhaust manifolds installed in my 19’ Charger rt but they denied me because of the dipstick placement?
This might be a dumb question for some , but I have an all stock 2014 charger . 90% chance my cam and lifter is shot . Therefore if I have to get a new one I would like to upgrade since I have to change it anyways . For instance, I’m looking at a Texas speed stage 2 kit . Would I have to change fuel injectors also ? New exhaust? Or can I just put the new cam kit in with lifter , cam, push rods , and gaskets ? Let me know
I have a 2016 Dodge Challenger R/T, but I'm hesitant to do the long headers because of CA emissions. 🥲 I still want to upgrade the cam, and maybe add the 392 intake manifold, but I would need to do more research first.
@@ItalianMobster if I tune it remotely, you need the credits. If I do it in person, you still need the credits, but I would buy them on my end and you would pay for them
$700 on a cam for (+30) 400hp w supporting mods+$ … u can get the same results with the same parts and no cam phaser lockout. (+$100) no pushrods, it doesn’t make sense imo. I like my $500 in my brokerage account 🤷🏽♂️ not spent an overpriced cam.
Do you have a transmission tune or did the cam eliminate the idea of getting one? Asking because I used to own a r/t that was fbo and tuned on e85 but felt like the transmission lacked in the top end
How would a 4 cylinder be more impressive? 5.7 hemi’s are pretty underrated builds, Nitrous/Blower builds on these cars are impressive, n/a they are under powered compared to new gen pony cars but have potential

@@Hemi5Slow yep it’s a good cam! If you need a tuning assist I’d be happy to help!

@@ReidPerformance thanks bro! I took it to a local shop near me. What oil would you recommend?
@Hemi5Slow the same oil. 5w20

Bad ass man !! Will definitely keep you in mind if I mod my RT! From O.C.
I look forward to it!

Wonder what this would be headers added and on 91? 415+?
I’m at 375ish with everything but cam
I wonder as well! Usually about 20-30 gain with a cam over stock cam

@@davidcontreras1013 idk why when 392 have same dipstick lol
@@ReidPerformance you know a place willing to do it?
So you don’t need an high stall for that cam? If not would a high stall help it make more power?
Higher stall helps get the car moving quicker. Does t actually increase horsepower
@ what would you recommend for this cam? I want to do the complete cam kit and heads etc….
I would like a more aggressive sounding cam though.
@brandontomalewski8277 the complete kit
Cam is my next/last mod to get. Besides that im full bolt on.
@@DCGEMINI202 nice, let me know if I can help with tuning

@DCGEMINI202 that won’t stop me 🫠🤣
How does this compare to the Maximizer 2.5 cam ?
Tbh I don’t know yet as I haven’t tuned that cam
@ReidPerformance Can the FRP cam be tuned using Diablo ?
@johnr2777 yes, but Diablo is an inferior product
@@ReidPerformance I checked into switching to HP but it was like $700 can't waste money already spent. Thanks for info.
@johnr2777 spend it once and forget about it. You’ll be happier with the way your car drives.. from my own personal experience

You won’t need new injectors, no.
You can just buy the entire cam kit and a tune
How loud is the cam on 392 intake and exhaust manifold on idle not tryna be obnoxiously loud
It’s pretty loud. No lie

If I unlocked my pcm with HPT and had you tune it, would you get the credits or would I need to get them? Still trying to understand this stuff.

I think install a 6.4 camshaft on my 5.7l i can get more Power with that?
Yes, there is research out there that it improves power in a 5.7
With longtubes how much more hp would it make? If you had to guess??
I would guess another 10 at least! With improvements in low end torque as well
@@ReidPerformance yep, let me get Ryan on the phone asap 😂
@@HemiQuanTVget it done 😂
I've seen dyno results that show the longtubes will make 10-15 more hp over 392s
With the long tubes it probably would add an extra 10-20 hp but you would definitely feel the torque difference because that air is moving better.
What area do you hang around I would love to meet I have a cammed 5.7 and would love to meet up and get a run in
This car is in the Coachella area
Do it quick tho.. hellcat blower getting out on it soon
How is that going to pass smog?
