It’s got a pretty big issue in that it uses those bland dialogue trees constantly which kills the pacing in the talking parts of the game. The combat is real fun though

Then, use your left hand in a grip like you are pointing a stake in front of you below and left of your 'gun'.

Yes- you are a vampire, a symbol of death and disease, and you are solving some murder mysteries while an actual, regular, real life plague rages on and takes millions of lives (thus, you go unnoticed since you are small potatoes by comparison). You are the narrative latch onto which the player grasps onto the themes of plague and infection, since human minds can barely grasp tragedy of that scale- particularly when it is 100 years old.
Well the original hatred of water came from moving water (rivers, tides). They can handle reservoirs, ponds and lakes in older lore, but a lot of modern games and media have generalised it to all water to add natural obstacles.
