Tells you a lot about the reviewer and his memory or more likely his attitudinal issues, as the impossibility and “nightmare” of volume adjustment are his personal problems. To help his terrible memory, Chord thoughtfully etched minus and plus on the case for the middle buttons for volume, eq etcetera. How intellectually challenging is it to sequence through 6 colours with the left hand button to adjust crossfeed or eq? If 0db is no colour, all you have to be able to do is to be able to count to 9! Clearly if you can't do this, the Mojo isn't for you, especially if it takes you time to work out that the analogue output requires a 3.5 mm to RCA and yes, a decent Audioquest/ QED/Chord cable is required for output into a system. He says he has to keep reading the instructions, then complains “there’s no socket for [coax cables]. If he HAD read the instructions, he wouldn’t have missed 3.5 mm coaxial input, taking either single or dual data coax. .
Hi friend, it was never a question of what each button does. It was more about memorising a pattern of what which color represent. And when you are on +3 in eq, and you return tommorow do i need to remember that it is a light teal. Or do i have to always return it to 0, and add or remove decibels and count to know how much i have added and removed. Do i have to remember which color represents lower treble, which color is high bass etc. It obviously is a bad user expiriance, and i am shocked that you defend it so passionately. I completely understand that this is a mobile device and some sacrifices where made, and my review where mostly positive. But some dacs in this price range do have a bit better user expiriance and ease of use. And there is no shame in there, especially how well does this dac sound. Nonetheless thank you for watching my video, hopefully you will find more merit in some other videos.

Impossible to remember? There are only few colours to remember, lol. It literally took few hours to remember everything
Well I am happy if you enjoy your device. But don't you think learning curve of few hours, to do simple commands is not correct? I am not saying it is bad device, i love chord mojo 2, but user expiriance is just not good. And ofc it is my subjective opinion.
@@HIFIDaydreaming it could definitely be better. Either way, thank you for your review :)
Yes Rob must got the help from a woman idea to use color push knobs , very not so smart , men like uncomplicated setup , women may not mind the figure out process , the mojo 2 wouldve been even bigger in popularity if it had a lcd showing what the heck you doing .
I agree but, it would probably cost much more. As it would require additional shielding and engineering for circuitry from static noise caused by screen. But we all can dream. 😁
@HIFIDaydreaming I probably would've been willing to pay more because it sounds good and I know it can sound better if I knew how to continually work those freaking buttons lol
@@Angel-AbC9 John Franks, CEO of Chord (a man), designs the aesthetics of products. Rob is not responsible for that part in any way.
@Peace_Guard ok didn't know . So I did see many not liking that style and mentioned Rob name , plus when giving positives about the chord they praise Rob so I saw fit to let it be known the bad part about it .
