- At Monarch Sustainable Landscaping we are committed to stopping the spread of fake lawns that have been an environmental disaster for Southern California in recent years. It's not enough to simply say that fake grass is bad. There has to be a better sustainable option for people to choose. Over the years we have found that Kurapia is superior to all other drought tolerant lawns. Here is one of our Kurapia installations in Bear Creek Murrieta.
Looks amazing!
I have tons of Kurapia growing at Miramar College where I work as a groundskeeper there. Hopefully we get the Kurapia Pink soon.
Hello! I want to buy kurapia seeds.
I've been trying to convince my wife we should install Ruschia Nana instead of Sod turf. She thinks it attracts snakes. LOL
Is there any specific soil we should be using before planting the crop yet? I am in the Sacramento area of California.
50/50 is the best. half compost half sand and add some peat moss too!
What would happen if we planted this in Denver zone 5b/6a?
It doest like to freeze
Can you walk on that without damaging the irrigation?
Yes for sure!
How tolerant is kurapia of shade in the long term?
Kurapia does not like full shade but I have seen it thrive under a large mulberry tree so I would say it works under deciduous trees for sure
Of course I like the dry stream bed on gate side. Kurapia good choice not only for drought tolerance but long narrow (weird) entryway.
Hey guy! Y’all service Fresno?
First learned about Kurapia from John & Bob's here on TH-cam. They're based in Fresno.
I used to live in Oakhurst kind of by Fresno
Did you find someone in Fresno area?
