Like most german armoured vehicles of the era, the AA fitting used the hull MG34 and was intended for use on road marches only, which is why it can't be used as a self defence AA.
Jagdtiger talking to Maus tank: "Haha, I am not the most ridiculous tank of WW2!" 😉 Nice video. Build and painted one. Great kit. And if even 3 Jagdtigers too much for your force you can purchase a two vehicle box in the Clash of Steel range by BF.
The pricing on the Battlefront website is very odd. You can buy 1 sprue for £8, the clash of steel box with 2 for £16 or the flames of war box with 3 (and a decal sheet) for £32. The decal sheet is therefore worth £8.
@@rorythomas9469 Yeah. The prizing is a bit odd. But I guess most wargamers have decals at home. And the decal sheet that comes with the three vehicle box has just division markings, not markings for a tank hunter bataillon at all.
I've got 7 of them. They aren't competitive but there is a way of fielding 6 or 7 in your 100 pt force, using the formation in the Bulge book. There is a command card which lowers the points, you take the in formation AA tanks and if I remember right armoured infantry and the Drilling halftracks. Not a list for tournaments but if you wanted a friendly game with sub par forces, it could be fun
These are definitely a step up in details over my existing zvezda jagdtiger fleet, which I purchased to replace and retire my older command decision metal jagdtigers (which were not very good models). Rather than replace though, perhaps supplement as the zvezda models are honestly pretty good if lacking in stowage and hatch options. I started a whole German army back in V3 just for jagdtigers; they were extreme and just a trio of them could fill out points in an army list to make a low-model count fun extra army. Now in V4 Bulging Germans, you can make a much bigger, better force including them without it feeling like a gimmick. Particularly, with a command card you can take the 512 company and get a 2 point discount per jagtiger which makes them quite attractive, as you can now afford things like some mortars or volksgrenadiers, or best of all: MORE JAGDTIGERS.
If these are your third set of Jagdtigers, you are *very* dedicated! I quite liked the Zvezda Jagdtiger kit - but it does have the limitations of a snap-fit kit.

Ah. Cool. Thanks for the information!

Thanks Trekan. Good point about the 2-kit box for Clash of Steel. That's a good option.

Remind me never to play my Cromwells against you...
@@FogofWar I'd be worried a bit if you had some Challengers with them
@@michaelwain3198 I'll keep that in mind...

Porsche wheels as an option on the sprue would be nice to see as-well
That’s a pretty big ask to have both suspension patterns as an option. They did choose the most common.
The gun seems so overkill, nevermind the armour
That is a lot of gun.
