Now that the unboxing is done, it's time to make this phone ours with some personalization, custom settings, and other tweaks. In this video, we'll go over 10+ things you can do to make the Galaxy Note 10 feel like YOUR phone.
We'll have Note 10 and Note 10+ tips and tricks later, along with our complete review, but this should get you off to a solid start.

this has been my favorite phone. I've always been an apple guy and I sold my Iphone 11 pro max for a Note 10+ ...not one regret

Just got this phone 3 days ago, and I can't put it down! I love it! Loaded with features, stylish and as a photographer, the camera works nicely. Didn't mind the 1k price tag, as this phone is a true beast!
Got my phone last night, if I had a dollar for every time I hard pressed the bottom center, Christmas would be paid for...

Right? 😂 it took me a about a week to get used to, but I actually LOVE this phone! I didnt think I would after watching the reviews but dannnngggg. I'm in love.
First thing I always do on any android phone is unlock developer settings, open it, go down to drawing and change the animations to from 1 to .5 (do it on all three options). It shortens the animations to make the phone feel just a bit faster. You'll thank me later.
Good tip! :) also, you can just go into "advanced features" and enable "reduce animations"

Where are the developer settings at?
@@MeetingtheOwenss settings, about phone, tap on build number 5 times. You'll get a message saying you're now a developer. Go back and you should see it at the bottom.
I just got my 10+ day before yesterday and now that I am configured, this is the phone I had been dreaming about for a long time!

Every phone should have some type of case on it. I don't understand why some people choose not to have a case. I have a case on my Lg Stylo 5.
I bought a fancy new wallet case for mine and my friend dropped it now roughed up case lol phones ok tho
btw the edge lighting now lights up while the phone is facing up and u can even change the color of different notifications very nice feature

Speaking of the navigation bar, I have used Samsung phones since the S3. I now think the way other Android phones have their navigation is weird to me.

Right. Plus, back when Google owned Motorola & on the OG Droid the layout was recent apps, home, back & search. How quickly they forget.
I had the LG G2, got it in 2014, in 2016 a few months before my contract was up, I shattered the screen on it. A friend gave me her s3 to use and for being 4 years old, it was pretty sweet. I switched to Boost Mobile and got the iPhone SE had it for 1 1/2 years, switched to the s8 had it for 2 years, then switched to AT&T in February got the s10e there are things I don't like about this phone, so I just ordered the Note 10 in Aura Glow
If any of your staff uses Microsoft services, y'all should do a video or article about the Samsung/Microsoft collaboration. Looks like they're trying to push Outlook, but that creates issues with Contacts and Calendar sync with Exchange accounts. Would appreciate your take on that.

Great video and thank you for all the information. I now have my phone setup. Did have to watch how you opened up the Samsung pay several times before I figured out how you did it. This is an awesome phone. I've been wanting a note for a very long time. I just went from a S9+ and I miss the heartbeat monitor though but not that much. I'm still learning about the S-pen and how that works.
just recently moved over to a Note 10+ ( got it used so no breath-taking unboxing ) but am completely blown away with the phone in person and after only a little use, the camera is something else, stunning screen and color, even the battery life is impressive ... really is all it's said to be and so much more

Jason Mays i want to sooo bad but it’s this darn ecosystem! 😡 it’s mainly my ipods, apple watch & apps with info in them that has me sitting on the fence.

Jason Mays funny enough, i was thinking abt keeping mine too. ur not crazy at all! a lot of ppl have both platforms. i’ll be keeping mine for some apps i can’t get on android & to keep my apple watch updated.

If anyone else is curious about the missing "show control on top" option for the brightness, you have to swipe down and open your notification panel, swipe down again, and tap the three dots on the top right and tap "quick panel layout". You'll find it there!

edge lighting works all the time for me! download Good Lock for the optimised version of edge lighting.
Also if you swipe from the middle to the left really quickly and release, it will switch to the previous app you was on.
I'm so excited!! I just ordered this phone today and it should be coming within the next couple weeks. This is going to be my first Samsung phone in a long time! I had one in 2014 but it wasn't a flagship it was a Samsung Avant. The past 3 years I've been using the iPhone 6 Plus and I've gotten quite used to Apple's UI. Since iPhone 6's aren't going to be receiving the iOS updates anymore I decided it was time to upgrade, and after watching so many videos about this phone I had to choose it over the iPhone 11 Pro :))
How do you recieve texts on message? Like deliver, read, typing and stuff.

I actually like where they placed the power off button. I'm right handed and my thumb would always want to hit the power button when I adjust the volume keys because I needed to grasp the phone with the right thumb while using the index finger to adjust the volume. Now, my right index finger is at home with the power button on the left and down low.
Great video. Subbed. I’m planning on getting my note 10 plus in the next month or so. I had the note 7 and since the whole battery debacle I switched back to iPhone so I forgot all the awesome stuff that these phones can do. Nice to get a refresher.

I have an S7 edge, and I don't think I could live without the edge panel. It's so convenient for keeping my most frequently used apps without cluttering my homescreen with icons, folders or redundant widgets. Can't wait to get this phone in 3 weeks!!!
I have the S8 and also use the edge panel on the daily. Absolutely love that feature. Allows me to keep my home screen clean and beautiful as well!

I can't go without the edge panel (I only use it for quick access to other apps) when I think about buying q different phone and I automatically think about the absence of the edge panel lol
Lol definitely, I stack my panel with calculator, calendar,TH-cam, Amazon shopping, Bank, audible, outlook, chrome, and Google maps

how do i move the google assistant bar thats at the bottom of the screen on mmy note 10? its honesty a bit annoying and takes up space on my screen when i dont really use it

BTW a quick note, one thing I finally found is that auto fill option very handy if you use Last Pass! And it's stuck on Samsung!
3:23 are you running an older version of Android? I don't believe voice match is still a supported smart lock feature.
the swipe down for nothification bar is availabe for android 8 as well ist just not an option is allwas on

@Droid Life, how did you get the mobile data on/off toggle in the notification panel? I bought my Note 10 plus from Samsung store in Canada and I don't have it. I asked Samsung and they said after the Nougat update Samsung stopped having that toggle in the notification panel. Can you please help?
It's not available in US and Canada

On the 10+ can you change a setting where the video takes up while screen ?
Go to settings, display, full screen apps. All the apps are set to auto by default. You have to pick the apps you want to force to run full screen. Keep in mind you will use the full screen but will see the hold punch while watching videos or playing games. Hope this helps......

Having the back button on the right of the navigation bar isn't weird at all. First time I've heard of that didn't know people didn't like it there. I hold my phone in my right hand and like having the back button on the right, find it hard to reach if it was on the left.

I still don't get this. I've no problem as I don't 've any preference/ note much difference & I was fine using both sides of phone with no issue be it on left or right hand (i'm right handed). I guess it all comes down to getting use to it.
@Awsmosis1337 Yep and that's why it's staying on the right side for the 10+. I like it on the right side and so does the right thumb.

Is Aurora glow it's own color or is it just aura glow silver the att guy told me that's all there was but all these videos look way different then mine
Depends on the lighting. It can look different.
Does anyone know how to make the lock screen picture show longer before it goes black again (back to sleep, I guess)? I am using a picture from my gallery and I would like it to last a little longer. I am not talking about when my Note 10+ goes to sleep, but, rather, the lock screen wallpaper picture that comes back on when I press the left side button for the screen to come back on so I can unlock it. Thanks for any input you might give.

What if u dont have that show on top when u want to adjust your brightness setting
There are a few demonstrated features, such as moving the brightness toggle, that aren't present on my phone. I don't understand why there are these discrepancies. very frustrating. Btw, I have the 10+.
