- - Welcome to the second lesson of my series of Persian grammar lessons . This lesson is very important because it is the building blocks of the Persian grammar. First you will learn about nouns in Persian and then you will learn about a very fundamental grammar lesson which is the genitive (ezafe) . Genitive applies to many different areas in Persian which three main areas are covered in this lesson. It is highly recommended that you review the vocab list (see below) used in this lesson prior to watching the lesson.

Thank you very much for such a beautiful effort. I had been struggling for a very long time to learn and understand Farsi. to be honest, I have been trying various channels on TH-cam but I found none better than you. I hurriedly went through your videos and observed that ultimately my efforts to find a proper Farsi tutor have been rewarded. So I am now restarting from your first video and I am hopeful that I will be able to read, write and understand Farsi. You are doing one of the best services, that one can do.
Thank you so much! Your comment made very happy. I'm glad you are finding my videos helpful. If you ever have any questions, feedback or suggestions let me know. More videos are coming to help you better understand Farsi.

Thank you so much!! Subhan Allah, I was trying to learn this Izaafe. I could understand the genitive part but not the adjective part. It just did not make sense. Thanks a lot. Now it is clear.

This is the best course in farsi I' ve found. Everything very nice presented, with big letters, which is quite important for foreigners who are not used to the persian alphabet, and with the latin transcription which also helps a lot.
Thank you so much for your comment! I’m very happy to hear that. Please let me know if you have any questions!

I am so pleased to have come across your channel. Your teaching methodology is the best I have come across so far on TH-cam in learning Farsi. I am so looking forward to see the rest of the videos on your channel. Thanks so much for the effort in making these videos, learning Farsi is much more interesting and enjoyable when finally one is able to grasp the concept.
Wow, thank you so much for your comment and your support . That made me very happy. I am planning to cover the whole Persian grammar first and then I will get into making more practice videos. يك كتابِ زيبا آست
Very good 👏👏
Thanks a lot, your videos are the best as you teach us the formal language then the informal one.
However, i have a question about using an indifinite ی while using more than one adjective, do i need to put it in the last adjective or it doesn't matter where i put it?
For example if i want to say a good big old expensive book
کتابِ قدیمیِ خوبِ گرانِ بزرگی
Or
کتابِ قدیمیِ خوبی گرانِ بزرگ
Is this correct?
Thank you for your comment. I’m glad you are finding my lessons helpful.
Regarding your question,
When you have more than one adjective, it’s better to put the indefinite ى either on the noun or the last adjective.
For example,
كتابى خوبِ قديمىِ گران
In this example, the indefinite ى is on the noun
كتابِ خوبِ قديمىِ گرانى
In this example the indefinite ى is on the last adjective.
Attaching the indefinite ى to a middle adjective, causes vowel disharmony.
I hope that answered your question. If not, let me know and I’ll explain more.
@@persianHow thanks, you have answered my question.
Thank you so much teacher. Do you have a pdf for these lessons?
You are very welcome! I'm sorry I don't have a pdf for my lessons yet. In future I'm planning to turn them into pdf but so far it's just the video version. Please let me know if you have any feedback or any questions!
Bonjour Maryam. J'ai besoin d'une précision
I'm not sure to handle properly words ending in i ,like sandali, gushi;..How should i write a big chair, the big chair?
Xeyli mamnunam.
Thank you for your question! your questions are always very good !
For definite nouns:
The big chair
صندلیِ بزرگ
In Persian we do not have a definite article like "the" in English.
For indefinite nouns ( 3 ways)
1) We can use یک before the noun
A big chair
یک صندلیِ بزرگ
یک = a ( indefinite article)
2) We can add the letter ی to the noun
صندلی ای بزرگ
(There's an exception here, because صندلی ends in ی itself, so we need to add ای for the indefinite article so ای after صندلی equals to indefinite "a"
3) The ی can be attached to the adjective too
صندلیِ بزرگی
Here ی attached to بزرگ means the indefinite article a
Either one of them works, but the most common one is the third one, by adding the indefinite letter ی to the adjective.
I hope I answered your question! Please let me know if you have any other questions!
Where is first lesson
Where is the first lesson? Can not find it in the channel
Hello Souvik, thank you for your comment. I haven't had the chance to publish lesson 1 yet. But lesson 1 will be about the alphabet only. The grammar starts from lesson 2. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Hello Maryam, I am from India and i am leaning Persian language last 2 years and i love Persian because فارسی شکر است that's why I have seen your videos but I didn't find no 1 video I searched alot but couldn't find anywhere so finally I thought that why I am not asking to you?
Please help me and share the video 1 also please
متشکرم خانم عزیز
Dear Sunita, thank you so much for your comment and for watching my videos. I know the first lesson is still missing. I still have not had time to finish that lesson, but it will be about the alphabet. At some point in future I will finish that lesson. Please let me know if you have any questions!
@@persianHow متشکرم خانم عزیزم برای جواب تون و من ویدیویی شما رو دیدم و بسیار لذت بردم از دیدن این ویدیو ها
خیلی ممنونم عزیزم 🙏
Dorud! Where did the first lesson go? Was it deleted?
Lesson 1 is about the alphabet. I wasn’t happy with the lesson, so I will be coming with a better one for the alphabet.
@@persianHow ah, merci!
Lesson no.1 is not in playlist
Hello, sorry for replying late! Lesson 1 is still under progress, but I can tell you it will be about the alphabet. If you already know the alphabet, you wouldn't need lesson 1 that much. For now, I'm focused on making other grammar lessons, and then I'll go back on focusing on lesson 1.
where is Lesson 1?
Thank you for your question. I haven't uploaded lesson 1 yet. It will be about the Persian alphabet and I have not gotten the chance yet to finish that lesson. Teaching the alphabet is very time-consuming and it will take me some time to finish that lesson. But thank you for reminding me, I will get back on it.
I can't find lesson 1
Lesson 1 is not uploaded. I want to come up with a comprehensive lesson for alphabet and I did not have time to finish it. But it will only be about the alphabet, grammar lesson starts from lesson 2.
@@persianHow thanks
Why not عكس يك قشنكِ دُختر؟
The rule in Farsi is that first comes the noun then the adjective.
That’s why we need to say عكس يك دختر قشنگ and not عكس يك قشنگ دختر
