Kendrick was silly back in the day, since he was just a kid from Compton, and you see that in old clips, and interviews. I think the “voice of the people” title that was placed on him was a lot of pressure, and he developed a bit of a savior complex as a result, but it’s good to see him finally go back to that fun loving goofball. Really makes the music video for Count Me Out stand out a lot more. In our most difficult times, our inner child brings us comfort.
