One thing I was taught by a ex Police Biker was you never overtake where there is any form of junction on the right. The vehicle you are overtaking can turn across you, or more typically someone can turn left out of the junction and hit you head on. Often people at a junction when turning left only look to the right as they don’t expect someone coming towards them on the wrong side of the road. Don’t be in a rush to put yourself into danger

Good thing to watch for is front tyres pointing or crossing the line, often times that will happen before you can see car turning or getting into your lane.

Staying back and giving a bit of run up room, then getting on the gas, closing up behind the car, AND THEN getting over into the on-coming lane means you spend less time in the wrong lane. The animation showed it the proper way, but not spelled out so. As opposed to matching the car's pace, then pull out, THEN gas.

Good Goldy advices. Filtering is a patience's game. Relevant speed must not exceed about 20 km/h.(The fastest man can run) Thanks a lot.

In the last year I have had three different cars put their right indicator on and move partially to the right just as I start the overtake. There has been no car to overtake or right turn to take . I believe this has been done on purpose to put me off or intimidate me.

@@teamgas I’ve never witnessed that but it sounds like a real confidence knocker. Unless the driver has seen something ahead such as a pothole, gravel or roadkill, that you might not have. Just a thought.
Thanks for sharing, it’s something else to be aware of.
      Cheers, Michael

When I do slow speed riding I don't slip the clutch or use revs twice the idling speed. My bike doesn't have a clutch or idle. It's electric. Slow speed riding in a straight line is easy. Slow speed cornering is harder as it's a heavy bike.
