Examining The 1950’s Housewife - Part 1 | The Creation Of Woman

The Holy Bible begins with the book of Genesis. In Genesis chapter 1 verse 1, we are told “In the beginning God” this chapter then proceeds to tell of how the heavens and earth were created.
We are first introduced to a “female” from Genesis 1:26 onwards - It reads
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. (1 Timothy 2:13)
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
A few things to highlight before we move on
God created “man” in his own image and likeness
Dominion over the earth was given to both male and female (man)
The male and female were unified in the image and likeness of God yet two separate beings
They were blessed by God
They were given a command to be fruitful and multiply, replenish, subdue and have dominion over the earth
I also wanted to show these verses for an understanding of God’s image which is a physical likeness of man, light (glory) and character. You can look at these in your own time for further study.
Likeness of man - Exodus 33, Revelation 1:13-16, James 3:9, 1 Corinthians 15:49, John 3:16, John 1:14, Genesis 3:8
Light - Exodus 3, Exodus 33, Exodus 34, 2 Corinthians 3:18, 1 John 1:5
Character - Ephesians 4:24, 1 Peter 1:3-4, 1 John 4:8, 2 Peter 3:9
