TIMING
Time starts upon hitting start to begin the game; ends upon fadeout on stage 10.
NON TAS WORLD RECORD
Current WR belongs to Lounge_Knight at 06:57 - However it's a single loop, played 'til level 5.
SHORT REVIEW
Graphics are good for the time (1986), and - of course - are way superior than the NES version.
Soundtrack is a bit repetitive, but catchy.
The storyline is nothing special, the usual "damsel in distress" plot.
Controls are smooth and responsive. However, jump controls are not that great.
The game's challenging and a bit frustrating sometimes, but in an acceptable way.
Some hitboxes don't make sense: sometimes enemies can hit ya even if their sprite isn't (apparently) touching you.
Overall it's a fun and cool game, and a classic of the Namco collection.
Overall score: 7/10
