    My OCD later caused me to reattempt fixing the insert alignment. Got to it by removing crystal. Extreme I know; but alignment perfect now ;)

    • @watchify1775
      @watchify1775  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      For some reason Citizen does not have a lot to offer in eco-drive line below 40mm. They did come out with a 37mm Promaster diver but it does not have sapphire. I was interested in it but it wears too small on my wrist www.citizenwatch.com/us/en/product/EO2020-08E.html?cgid=promaster-sea

  • @michaelkaliski7651
    @michaelkaliski7651 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I can’t see any alignment issues other than artifacts caused by diffraction through the sapphire crystal, that actually does have an antireflective coating on the internal surface. This is an ISO rated diver’s watch and as far as I can tell, complies with all of the requirements exactly. In use the bracelet is very comfortable when adjusted correctly. As an everyday watch capable of handling anything thrown at it, this is a sensible purchase. You get what you pay for and as a professionally specified diver’s watch you can expect it to perform well within the stated specs. Mine runs at -2 seconds per month, which is better than 1 part in a million accuracy. Try getting that with a Rolex!

    • @watchify1775
      @watchify1775  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, most times the small alignment issues do not show up well on camera. I also know there is a segment of Seiko owners who are not bothered at all by these minor alignment issues and just care about the function of the watch. These are considered affordable watches but still cost 300-400$ which is still a considereable amount of money to pay for many people, so I think those are the ones most vocal about imperfections.

    Hello! I’m new to dive watches and had a question-
    Read your description regarding the 120 ticks for the bezel. Does it make any audible sounds IE actually make a clicking sound? Unsure if your video had audio covered over it or was done live. Thanks in advanced!

    • @watchify1775
      @watchify1775  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes they do make a sound. There is something called a click spring under the rotating bezel. It has two raised parts that causes the bezel to only rotate in one direction. There are grooves on the underside of bezel . Those two raised parts are what is making the noise when you rotate bezel.

    xlnt review. i did not see your sweep seconds missing the markers...mine is almost as good but not to my expectations. my pip is aligned perfectly and i would have returned it if it had not been...also i got the rubber strap black, there is no way i would have gotten a hollow end link bracelet, not only is it cheap, but it scratches the backs of the lugs. i got mine for about $305(on rubber). love review as it hit the important points.

    • @watchify1775
      @watchify1775  ปีที่แล้ว

      Great. Sounds like you may have gotten the SNE573 since it comes with black strap. That one looks good also. I still like this green dialed version and still wear it on bracelet. My only gripe now is the movement runs a bit fast even as quartz movements go.

    Awesome review! Is 20mm NATO strap achievable on this watch?

    • @watchify1775
      @watchify1775  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      sure, you could put a 20mm nato strap on it. There are some pictures online of people doing that for this line of watches

  • @itsallrobbish
    @itsallrobbish ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Grab and go excellence. Bin the bracelet and get a nice curved end silicon strap, this would make a watch for life. Wish Seiko would hit the markers better, Citizen often get it bang on, but they charge too much for sapphire. Re the bracelet, DHGATE will supply a glidelock solid endlink, screwed links, hi quality bracelet for $15. Come on Seiko, get it sorted!

  • @livesblue
    @livesblue 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    If I could find an aftermarket bracelet made for this like from strapcode or uncle Seiko, I think there is a lot to like about a solid solar powered watch that is made well. But of course, that adds to the cost of the total watch.

    • @watchify1775
      @watchify1775  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah - unfortunately Strapcode and Uncle Seiko are not going to make a bracelet for a model unless it's wildly popular and has been out for some time. These are still relatively new.

    • @livesblue
      @livesblue 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@watchify1775 right. Maybe this watch could be great on a rubber strap then. But then you lose the nice weight the bracelet gives you. Tough to find a nice solar diver. My favorite so far is from Vaer. Nice review by the way!

      Check out Uncle Seiko’s Instagram page, they found that a couple of their Speedmaster bracelets fit very well. I’m tempted to try it after I give it some more thought but the stock bracelet grew on me after I removed the clunky diver’s extension.

    Replaced the included black rubber strap of the SNE573 with a Fostner Klip bracelet (Bonklip style). The brushed links with polished ends matches very well with the watch head. This lightweight bracelet matches very well with this smaller sized watch.

    I never buy a seiko over 200 euros without seeing it in person nor do I buy it if it has hardlex. Still, I do like the seikos I have and do like Seiko's watches. I just don't trust their factories, something that seems to be a trend I guess. Got at least the 10% off on my solar diver in the store, and for 450 euros, it's the limit of what I'd pay for it. No regrets however, wear it all the time as its so practical and comfortable

    • @watchify1775
      @watchify1775  ปีที่แล้ว

      Interesting. Here in U.S. when I go into a store I only see a limited amount of the more common Seiko models. So I would really be limiting myself if I bought only after handling the watch first. Seiko does have some boutiques but they are a long drive for me.

    • @Anirossa
      @Anirossa ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Watchify I bought it in a big central city in Europe, so I had many stores to go check watches in if needed. They only had one of the model the place I found it, and ended up buying it. So if the watch hadn't been pretty spotless, I'd not bought one, at least not at that day.
