Midair CATO of an experimental APCP motor (Aerobing)

Aerobing launches another of their experimental fiberglass cased APCP motors aboard a rocket. Aerobing, from Binghamton University in New York, have been rapidly developing high performance solid rocket motors for a spaceshot rocket. In this goal, there's no room for shortcuts, and no substitute for rigorous and repeated testing.
This particular motor undergoes a midair CATO, or motor explosion, leaving the other parts of the rocket to fall back to the earth. These events, from low production run uncertified motors, are why experimental motors are always operated from under cover at FAR.
