It's always nice to see another approach for tech reviews... focused in the actual utility of the gadget and not about flashy numbers and capabilities... in the end, we buy things to use them, and if the're not of use to us, flashy tech and numbers don't mean a thing... Great review!
@@thespenceryan I will wait for their next generation of rayban meta glasses to get a better experience, though I still have some doubts like what if you are in the atm, entering your pincode and withdrawing cash? or you are in the toilet and pointing the camera to your private parts? These glasses have cameras, whos to say they are not recording? Now you might say these glasses dont have capability/permission/ function to auto record but you cant prove it. Its just like the facebook app, you didnt give it permission to consistently listen to you but the products that you talked about out loud or searching in google are somehow in your recomended list in the marketplace. What do you think of that?
The start of this video is so much better then any other review. Actually showing it in use. Screw unboxings and specs, I much prefer the format you've put together here personally.
I liked this view of the Meta AI glasses. I just got a pair and I didn’t know what I could actually do in everyday life. I don’t need to see the specs I needed to see how to use them. Thank you for this video. I did not think it was boring as others have suggested however it was helpful and gave me things to try. I thought it was professionally done and I appreciated it. 😊
A trick if you want to activate your transition lenses to DARK is to keep a small UV/Black light flashlight in your car. Give the lenses a quick shine real close with the light and they pop over quick. Haven't really found a trick for the opposite transition though.
Great video. The framing and cuts for the Ray-Ban meta footage was brilliant. They haven’t released the AI in UK yet so missing out on that part. I’m a dad of 2 boy toddlers - these have been a game changer for pics and videos when I’m out and about with them. Ray-Ban Meta + Apple Watch cellular have also helped with my smart phone addiction - often leave house with these and leave iPhone at home.
Love the day in life with all the use cases. What an honest and valuable review. Feels like now I know all about I need to know about these glasses. Keep killing it man!!
I have prescription transition lenses. I had to get custom lenses as Rayban and LensCrafters do not support my script. My use case is mostly AI and audio. The camera is great for multi modal use. I am in Florida but spend time in Panama and yes the translation is really good. I had to tweak some of the settings on battery life but it is quite good now. I use it working for zoom calls and client videos. I think you do have to be careful in rain conditions and I am unsure what happens if they break. My AirPod pros are collecting dust. This is one of the best pieces of tech I have used in some time and really seems to be the next form factor after the smartphone. I am from NC originally and used to live in Raleigh. Great video✌️
I have an astigmatism so I require glasses to see everyday. My girlfriend surprised me with these for my everyday wear I pick them up tomorrow and wanted to check out some videos on youtube so here i am! Great review thank you for making this video now i know what to expect when they become my daily wear. Peace bro! - ITsMeToddiB
I was trying to figure out what would I actually use them for I was thinking about using it for my model building hobby after watching a video you gave me a lot more uses that I never thought about before good video and review now I know I'm getting a pair 👍
What is that big thing attached to one of the arms of the glasses? I haven’t seen that in other videos. Thank you. Meta is my minority use case with these glasses. I want to buy them and make them into reading glasses which I can use for calls, and also use them while driving / riding so I can take some quick POV pics / videos.
I like that you showed the flaws and the fact that they don't work as flawlessly as so often shown on other videos. I have a pair and even though they can be frustrating sometimes, they still can be useful tech
7:48 you seriously need a pair of glasses to tell you what to make for breakfast when you have the ingredients right in front of you and it’s pretty freaking obvious that it’s a breakfast burrito or omelette like seriously this is a waste of time. And all you’re gonna do is have it speak to you you don’t see nothing. You just hear it talk. That’s a waste of time too. I’ll wait for the Meta Orion that just got dropped or talked about because that seems way better than me just putting on some sunglasses and hearing it. Talk to me when I could just look at my phone and get a good visual on what is really good going on instead of just having it talk to me And it seemed pretty clunky when he was trying to have it talk to him in the first place so I don’t think the software is there. I think they release this as a money grab and good for you content people that’s all it’s good for.
There's PLENTY of tech specs videos out there. Search for them! In case you didn't notice, this is a very entertaining and interesting hands-on video on how or when to use your smart glasses.
Tech specs can be found in a PDF. This video documented actual use case scenarios, realities of being an early adopter, pros, and cons of the device. What would YOU do with them based only on tech specs?

Thank you so much 🙏

I never thought of that! I'll have to try that.

Actually didnt know about the Top3 News Feature. You can also say something like "give me more infos to the first news". Pretty dope

if i turn the meta glasses off to just use it for my vision prescription, how fast does it take to reconnect when i turn back on?
Awesome work! Quality is insane
Thanks brother. Put in some time on this one so I appreciate it 🙏

Thats the type of video we need for a decision. Got mine since 2 days🎉
Amazing video! I love the day in the life use case as I decide if I buy these to use as daily when Apple is releasing Apple Intelligence.
Great video. Thank you for this honest review. It was very helpful. 👌🏼
Ay papi! Haha. Nice video Spencer. I used mine for our NYC trip. Pretty good camera for quick vids. ✌️ but I didn’t use the AI that much.

it’s his microphone to pick up the meta’s response
Haha this was so well done!! Love my Ray-bans 🙌🏼
Great video, but I'm confused about the beeper mounted on the glasses. What is it? What's it for? Thank you
It’s a microphone so you can hear the responses he’s asking for.
😂😂😂😂😂
This video concept was fire! Did you use the DJI for some of these clips? What are your best settings for it? Thanks!
Hi. What size glasses do you have?
Easy, small from the size of his hands!
Hey! What camera do you use for regular footage?
Sony a7iv!
Your videos are dipe and i don't understand why you have so few followers and likes. You deserve more for your work. Keep it up!

What color of transition are those, clear to gray, clear to green...?
These are the clear to gray
Why is my meta ray ban’s visual recognition does not work?
It says “I can’t do that on your glasses”
Loved the video, really felt authentic
Bro this video is top tier 💯 I felt that when there was no Ghost. Next time you’re in NY, drinks on me!

Deal 🤝
Thank you for this review so interesting
Very entertaining & informing Spencer, I have a pair coming this week ;-)

Great video, crazy how the algorithm didn’t pick this up for more views. Smh I don’t get YT….
Haha it is what it is. Appreciate you watching 🤝
you should ask meta which study says that calorie deficit is an effective healthy solution for weight loss lol.
The one that my doctor recommended and helped me lose 40 pounds in a year and rid me of my high blood pressure?

Is that a battery on the left?
It's a frigging wireless microphone. So that we could hear what the Ai is saying.
That's the mic allowing you Meta's responses.
The Trump news crashed the app 😂😂😂

Not workingin Belgium
Meta AI is not allowed in Europe. The same for Apple AI.
This video is boring. Where is the tech specs?
There are plenty of other videos that do that.
You need to leave

Damn bro, you lack vision
