Best dogs in the world. They don’t get enough recognition.

Das ist gut, sonst wäre es ein Modehund

I see where you are coming from. I guess if they where more popular, You probably would get a lot of irresponsible dog owners that buy a dog because their friend had the same breed… Then you would find a lot of Cairn Terriers in shelter homes because a lot of people don’t have patience or lost interest.

@@1169218923 right, that's what I think. Having a Cairn is a challenge and the decision should not be made because he is so cute. He is hunt motivated and needs a consistently loving hand. This isn't for everyone. A cairn challenges you every day. At least ours does 😇. And they are healtier as other breads, because they are not so popular here in Germany. Best regards from our country🐶

I adopted mine a few months ago. She is VERY active, sweet, and finds everything intriguing. Her name is Pepper.

Absolutely adorable. I lost my westie boy in January and love the look of a cairns as no white coat to contend with. Terriers have such a character don’t they ❤

Do Cairns have very small bladders? My dog is seven months old and she still has to go out every hour during the day and every half an hour when it gets closer to evening. I hope this ends soon I’m exhausted. If we don’t bring her out she will have an accident.

I'm sure it will be allright, 1 year old and about 4 times a day, sometimes more.

Leo... Puppies have to go more often. Especially if they drink a lot of water. Then it's less as they get older. Definitely first thing in the morning and the last thing at night. Enjoy!

My 10 yo can hold it for 10 hrs if necessary if we are not home. She does not drink water unless she eats or is hot.

Our family is seriously considering getting one. Wanted to ask, are they high energy? How much exercise would you say they require? Can they be lap dogs around the house with up to an hr exercise each day? And any details on where you got your dog? TIA!

Hi! Yes, they are high energy, but not too high. We bought her in Finland.

They are great inside dogs who live going outside. They can go on ling hikes in their prime. Thry are hearty. They live long lives with spunk. They are fun and curious and pull on the leash!

I would highly recommend one. Yes lapdogs. High enough energy for fun. But loves to chill

Lesley. Get a senior dog rescue from a shelter (pound). They will be less energetic and very grateful.

Awe. You have love to give. But they can get under foot so be careful not to trip.

Get a senior dog rescue slower dog. Check shelters.
