AWW MAXINE, Prayers for her that all test come back good 🙏🏼🙏🏼 My female G.S. has a cyst on her tail and she tore all her gorgeous long hair off her tail. I go back on Tuesday this week. if its not getting better they want to do skin grafts to see if it's cancer😪😪 They said if it is they will amputate her tail past the area. I'm praying this does not happen🙏🏼🙏🏼 I also love a good thunderstorm, they put me right to sleep. We use to have two parrots, we had two corner cages. Bird cages are very pretty. I never thought of using them for decoration with lamps and plants. When sadly we sold our feathered babies we gave the lady all their cages, toys, and hugh rolling opened stand and two table top stands. I had gotten cancer and just couldn't keep up with caring for them, plus my two kitties and G.S. puppy. that was 13 yrs ago.. The back screened in porch floor came out beautiful,, I think the rug looks great out there. The work you have been doing in your home has been beautiful and not only cosmetic but internal too. Some very expensive replacing and repairs. I think you and your husband are doing quite a bit considering having to deal with health issues too. Your place is beautiful. I live in upstate Indiana and it gets hot and humid here, but certainly not like South Carolina. I don't think I would like all the critters. Especially the geckos. I live in town and have live trapped raccoons and possums in my back yard! I'm now after an elusive ground hog! I will win this battle in the end. Love your videos and just watching your energy and perseverance for projects is inspiring.
I love your porches, growing up in the country our houses always had porches with a swing on it. Love all of your ideas on the porch especially the columns in the corners. The large bird cage is fabulous! I use to have a jute rug in my living room but layered it on top of another rug, but they do shed. Can’t wait to see your finished porch! Your living room is fabulous, I love the lamps on the tables beside the sofa! You have such good taste, I love a traditional styled home! So happy your first baby is healing well, she has lived a long life! ❤
So hope your cat is ok. Our cat Ted is 20 yrs old Had cancer at 16 and with treatment is still going strong. Beautiful property and house I would love to live in a setting like that

I was just getting ready to ask where you've been and if everything was alright, and here you are with another delightful video. Ah! The music, the rain, your soothing voice just calms my soul. You offer a little bit of everything, too! I literally laughed out loud at your continued use of the hose!! I feel like I'm your spiritual twin! We love the same things, the same style, the same humor, cats... Praying for your sweet Maxine! Cas is a handsome guy. And, I'm with you about the glass top on the table and return to the original green, or maybe something like the decorative piece at 16:29. Prayers for complete healing for your kitty cat. Thank you for the storm. I am in Calif where we almost never have any. I wait years for one. I miss the Midwest. Paint the porch dark so you don't see the dirt as much. It doesn't cool down here until Nov and I am not going to be pushed into Fall decor till then. I hate saying that but it's going to be again over 100 each day here, so I am not in the mood. I cannot pretend it's Fall when it's summer.

One wonder thing about South Carolina is it's glorious thunderstorms. I too, sit on my front porch to watch the hummingbirds flit around the feeders. I only have three birds. How fortunate you, we are!
I'm late watching this. I have a tip you can try when scrubbing your front porch railing, give it a rinse with Downy liquid fabric softener. It keeps the dirt, dust and lint/ debrie from attracting back to the cleaned surface, and you won't have to clean it as often. You can use that trick on many surfaces including dark colored vehicles. Results may vary due to the type of surface. When you do decide to redo your back deck, you should do laminate decking that is made to look like wood. There's no upkeep every year of re sealing and varnishing. This is used all the time on This Old House. Prayers for your kitty Maxine. Hope she will heal completely and be cancer free. My oldest cat Little Girl turned 21 in June, and is still very active and healthy. I pray that your Maxine will be healed and healthy for a long time after this surgery ! Hi Deb, Donna here! Years ago when we needed to replace our huge wood porch, my smart husband came up with a great idea! Just pull up each board with a cats paw tool, turn them over and nail it back in! You have a new looking porch. He said he did have to replace about 1/4 of the wood, some due to just being old, the others to getting torn up in the process! I hope that helps!
Hi Deborah. I’ve enjoyed this video. How nice to have a screened in porch. It is all looking lovely and very relaxing. I love the tree and bushes removal. That really opened the backyard up to such a nice view. I love your style of decorating. That’s my true style. However, as I age I tend to go less with my decor as it’s getting to be too much for me to deal with. I really hope before next spring to have our back deck screened in. Aww poor lil Maxine! I’ll pray her results are okay. Well, Deborah it’s been over 105 for over a month and a half with not a drop of rain. The humidity is horrible and very few Texas ladies are applying makeup. It’s a waste of product. My friend is so sick of this weather she’s decorating for Christmas to try a trick her brain into cooler temperatures 😂🤣

I have a lg village of chipmunks that come onto the front porch and lord, what destructive little creatures they are , but soooo cute.. one climbed into the bird feeder and ate every seed, until he passed out.. he was just laying there swinging with the breeze.. I got some great pics and video.. but, they dig up all of my plants !! And, the birds don’t get any food, no matter where I move the feeders. But, the hummingbirds are thriving and keep me busy, cleaning the feeders and making more nectar. It has been so hot, here in middle Tennessee, that for the first time, I’m really looking forward to fall ❤️❤️

I lived on the eastern shore for a period of time many years ago. My father owned a barbershop there ,”Kent island barbershop”. It’s interesting to think that perhaps one day we crossed paths on that tiny island.

Hope Maxine is fully healed and healthy, I had a scare with my 28 year old RJ kitty, he got a upper respiratory infection, use doing now after being meds. Homes take time to decorate, don't rush, you do wonderful work with your thifted treasures. Love see the hummingbirds . 💜💐

You and I have several identical items it's uncanny I absolutely love how the brush was cleared, we need to do what as our property is much like yours. Last week we had a bear and a bobcat however as the weather is so hot and dry and they are coming out of the mtns and hills looking for water and food........ Love the table your mother in law gave you.......and Yes, that is either a 50--- or 60 fabric pattern. I love your large bird cage..........everything is amazing as always! I am in South Texas where we haven’t had any rain in weeks and the highs have been over 100. Today 106. So my plant babies are barely surviving without watering twice a day. I love all the critters. Your place is beautiful. I live in upstate Indiana and it gets hot and humid here, but certainly not like South Carolina. I don't think I would like all the critters. Especially the geckos. I live in town and have live trapped raccoons and possums in my back yard! I'm now after an elusive ground hog! I will win this battle in the end. I love your porches, growing up in the country our houses always had porches with a swing on it. Love all of your ideas on the porch especially the columns in the corners. The large bird cage is fabulous! I use to have a jute rug in my living room but layered it on top of another rug, but they do shed. Can’t wait to see your finished porch! Your living room is fabulous, I love the lamps on the tables beside the sofa! You have such good taste, I love a traditional styled home! So happy your first baby is healing well, she has lived a long life! ❤

Prayers for complete healing for your kitty cat. Thank you for the storm. I am in Calif where we almost never have any. I wait years for one. I miss the Midwest. Paint the porch dark so you don't see the dirt as much. It doesn't cool down here until Nov and I am not going to be pushed into Fall decor till then. I hate saying that but it's going to be again over 100 each day here, so I am not in the mood. I cannot pretend it's Fall when it's summer.

One wonder thing about South Carolina is it's glorious thunderstorms. I too, sit on my front porch to watch the hummingbirds flit around the feeders. I only have three birds. How fortunate you, we are!
I'm glad Maxine's surgery went well. I' ll be praying for a good pathology report.
I'm late watching this. I have a tip you can try when scrubbing your front porch railing, give it a rinse with Downy liquid fabric softener. It keeps the dirt, dust and lint/ debrie from attracting back to the cleaned surface, and you won't have to clean it as often. You can use that trick on many surfaces including dark colored vehicles. Results may vary due to the type of surface.
When you do decide to redo your back deck, you should do laminate decking that is made to look like wood. There's no upkeep every year of re sealing and varnishing. This is used all the time on This Old House.
Prayers for your kitty Maxine. Hope she will heal completely and be cancer free. My oldest cat Little Girl turned 21 in June, and is still very active and healthy. I pray that your Maxine will be healed and healthy for a long time after this surgery !

Hi Deb, Donna here! Years ago when we needed to replace our huge wood porch, my smart husband came up with a great idea! Just pull up each board with a cats paw tool, turn them over and nail it back in! You have a new looking porch. He said he did have to replace about 1/4 of the wood, some due to just being old, the others to getting torn up in the process! I hope that helps!
Hi Deborah. I’ve enjoyed this video. How nice to have a screened in porch. It is all looking lovely and very relaxing. I love the tree and bushes removal. That really opened the backyard up to such a nice view. I love your style of decorating. That’s my true style. However, as I age I tend to go less with my decor as it’s getting to be too much for me to deal with. I really hope before next spring to have our back deck screened in. Deborah, your home is so beautiful! You've really done a great job decorating it. I can imagine how beautiful it's going to look with the fall decorations. I have already started on my fall decor. Takes me at least a week to decorate my home. But when it's done it gives me such contentment & peace. Especially burning apple-cinnamon candles. Oh I love it! Aww poor lil Maxine! I’ll pray her results are okay. Well, Deborah it’s been over 105 for over a month and a half with not a drop of rain. The humidity is horrible and very few Texas ladies are applying makeup. It’s a waste of product. My friend is so sick of this weather she’s decorating for Christmas to try a trick her brain into cooler temperatures 😂🤣

I have a lg village of chipmunks that come onto the front porch and lord, what destructive little creatures they are , but soooo cute.. one climbed into the bird feeder and ate every seed, until he passed out.. he was just laying there swinging with the breeze.. I got some great pics and video.. but, they dig up all of my plants !! And, the birds don’t get any food, no matter where I move the feeders. But, the hummingbirds are thriving and keep me busy, cleaning the feeders and making more nectar. It has been so hot, here in middle Tennessee, that for the first time, I’m really looking forward to fall ❤️❤️

I lived on the eastern shore for a period of time many years ago. My father owned a barbershop there ,”Kent island barbershop”. It’s interesting to think that perhaps one day we crossed paths on that tiny island.

Hope Maxine is fully healed and healthy, I had a scare with my 28 year old RJ kitty, he got a upper respiratory infection, use doing now after being meds. Homes take time to decorate, don't rush, you do wonderful work with your thifted treasures. Love see the hummingbirds . 💜💐

Last week we had a bear and a bobcat however as the weather is so hot and dry and they are coming out of the mtns and hills looking for water and food........

I am in South Texas where we haven’t had any rain in weeks and the highs have been over 100. Today 106. So my plant babies are barely surviving without watering twice a day. I love all the critters.
