    It’s probably just a commitment thing, but the main thing is you’re throwing the board forward, which is fine when you’re learning but you want to try and start getting the board to rotate under you. Pop then scoop and rotate a little later, rather than sooner. You do it in some of the later tries, but for most tries you’re trying to rotate too soon and so the wheels are still on the ground so when you rotate, the board just grabs the floor and rotates forward. Another thing, and this is for all your tricks generally, you need to jump more. You’re popping and doing the motions correctly, but you’re not actually jumping. You’re lifting your legs up and down, but not actually jumping up, which is reducing your time in the air significantly. This makes tricks like treflips especially hard because you need more time for it to fully rotate and flip. On your second kickflip you sort of do it, where you actually jump. Step off your board and just actually jump, and you’ll notice how much more floaty you are, then start attempting to do that on the board. Do it with Ollies so you know what it’s supposed to feel like, and then you can carry it over to other tricks. But honestly that’s all mostly bullshit, just keep skating and trying and it eventually all works itself out, you got it

      @@Quadruple_curious thank you man. A lot of this stuff I do know and it probably just is mental and maybe a little fatigue on not jumping as high. There’s a point in this sesh I didn’t add in the video where I go “fuck the tutorials, fuck the tips, you know what to do. Just land it!!” And proceed to not land it 😹😹 I’m gonna try to really commit and get it down today 🙏🙏

      @@Norrin277 I first hopped on a skateboard when I was 5 and never really stopped. Of course lots of long breaks and I guess I have just been stagnant skill wise once I got to high school. But I have been consistent getting at least one sesh in a week for about 10 months now 😊 this is the best I’ve ever been

      @@MARCONIPUMA that’s sick! The fact that you still got back on the board is commendable. I’m 21 and I have just kinda sorta gotten started, slowly learning the basic movements, tic tacs…just…standing on the board comfortably and stuff, learn to get more comfortable. Im a little bad at sticking to it but it’s very fun/rewarding when you see the progress.
      I did get the board of the ground a bit in a “Ollie” on day two, but im kinda big so the jumping part of the ollying is what’s difficult, as well as…committing. I can jump kinda high but on effectively one foot it gets a lot harder lmao. Rant aside, I’m rooting for ya dude. Keep it up!

      @@Norrin277 preciate you man. If I can add my two cents, try not to get frustrated comparing yourself to the past. One day you might get an Ollie but won’t be able to get it another day. Listen to your body. Skateboarding is great exercise with the right mindset. Keep at it and most importantly have fun ! 😊

      @@MARCONIPUMA right back at you dude, hearing that does help a lot, it can be hard not to compare what one is able to do now vs what one was able to in the past. But yeah, thanks, I’ll keep that in mind for sure. It really is great exercise hehe, i sweat so much I’m practically producing a new Great Lake when im practicing 🤣🤣
      I’ll keep at it. Need to get some damn protective gear though. 187 killer pads are what I’m looking to get. And a helmet. Fuck getting brain damage. I’m too paranoid about my health to skate without that shit 🤣🤣

    Imagine your front and back legs like an old school scale where you put similar weight on each side to get them to even out. When you set up for your trick, put your balance in the center as to keep the scale balanced. Putting too much weight in the front foot will throw your body in front of the board (which seems to be what you’re doing) and too much in the back foot will cause the board to go ahead of you. Try putting more weight in that back foot. Hope this helps.

    You need to get board to go the direction you are rolling and not out in front of ur body. Idk how to do that but that will defiantly help! Keep at it man. I need to get back on the board myself!!

      @@Xillua thank you. Just saw a tip saying to jump diagonally to the right and I think that will help me land it. Once I get it I’ll try to get it more straightened out and up rather than to the side

      Don’t stand on the board exactly parallel. Get your body to sort of be diagonal and face forward, so not actually jumping diagonal. Then before you rotate make absolutely sure you pop first and you’re scooping the tail, not your wheels. I suggest doing this on pop shove its first to know the feeling. Your pop shove its should not move forward at all and should spin on the center axis

    All in the ankles bro. It's more scoop than pop. Line your inner foot almost on the line of the concave (Tail) toe hanging off then scoop that shit, use your ankle more
