God Knows, from episode 12 of the anime The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, done quite well on a piano.

What makes this person special is that he plays it by ear. As in, he listens to the songs and then plays it without sheet music. THAT is hard.
This is beautifully done. The piano is such a great instrument that is only played well when the players soul is poured through their fingers onto the keys. This player does a wonderful job.

This is unbelievable. The melody sounds so complex, and it obviously takes much skill to play it, but in a way, the entire ensemble is so... Simple. Whoever this is is extremely talented.
i know i have commented on this video before, but i always came back for more. This guy simply made the piano an instrument that is capable of taking the place of multiple instruments like the drum, bass and guitar; it is almost as though there's a rock band in the piano!

Did anyone notice that he plays in the exact beat as the original's? The original song ends at 4.38; this ends at 4.38. All his pauses and chords etc are perfect to the very note and second.
No matter how long it takes, weeks, months or ages, one day, I will know how to play this just as perfect as this person did.

Hard to say. There are different grading systems, but the "main" one in the USA ( i forgot the name ) also includes other skills such as sight reading and such, and this is a one song performance (and pre-practiced) so you can't really say.
But just looking at the learning level of this song (practicing and playing), ignoring other aspects, I'd say this arrangement's level is around 7.

Wow, I can't remember seeing a rock song transcribed even somewhat convincingly before. Kudos to whoever did this, although I can't say I agree with the way the modulation was handled.

I'm about halfway through this song learning it and I can honestly say I had no idea I'd ever make it that far. I've been practicing about 3 hours a day, it really is true when they say practice makes perfect, you just have to believe in yourself and take it one step at a time.

The trick with the song is wrist movement. The trills are substantially easier if you get that down :3
I think he meant that the pianist's hands were probably so sore after playing that hardcore piece of music that the pianist needed ice to numb the pain. Thats's why he also said something abt stockpiling ice.
Did anyone notice that this guy plays at EXACTLY the same tempo as the original song? Not one minute nor one second off. The original 'God knows' ends 4.38; this piano piece ends also at 4.38

actually, the left hand is octaves and the right hand is simple 1-line notes with the exception of a few chords, not too hard to figure out, but it would still require a good amount of effort on behalf of the musician. so, kudos to you, not many ppl try playing the fast version of this

Well, that's if someone had the sheets. Then it'd only take practice.
But if this person transcribed AND played this, then that's what makes this video insane. This obviously takes a helluva long time to play like this, yet alone create an arrangement.
