If your waist is small like mine or if the rope is long enough to wrap it around your waist once, i would suggest always tying the first rope at the front. It will help prevent wardrobe malfunctions big time.
My mom bought me one of these in Cambodia and I absolutely love them paired with a basic loose tshirt or a plain tank top. Comfortable and fashionable at the same time.

I have pants like these but they’re Indian Bellbottoms and I had not figured out how to use the bathroom in them.
I loved your demo because I am 81 yrs old and have arthritic fingers. Pulling up ordinary pants with a waistline or elastic is very difficult because I have to pull up against the fabric and It's very hard. These pants are my next buy from somewhere because although there is a lot of handling of the fabric I can use my whole hand not just my knuckles. I will give them a try. Thank you so much.

I always tie the back first. Makes toileting easier as well-I don't pass it the whole way through to the front, I just untie and pull down past my bottom and off under one thigh or the other before sitting down.

How does these pants work for a disabled person lying down or sitting in bed mostly, and using a wheelchair occasionally? I can't do anything myself, I have to have assistance with moving etc. Need to find comfy, easy to use clothes.

I have no idea what they are.
Maybe I have the name wrong. My friend brought some back from Thailand, and they’re specifically made to wear while driving. They seem to be called TDPs. Very comfortable for driving.
