years and years i have been looking for this and i gave up looking for a tram going on stafford road and there it was mate your a gem thankyou i use to go to that stafford primary school and i have worked on that road with people saying there use to be a tram going on stafford road but they would say i think. so i was not sure about it. but there was.But no way i have ever not even a thought of a tram going through gordan park that blew me away seeing i used to walk down that road for every kind of purpose , school , burgers , movies at the old lutwyche imperial theater amazing ..
hahaha , i put thumbs up at 61 and i am 61 years old , mate looking at vulture street was amazing i used to live in west-end and never ever one thought of trams running down that street i walked up and down that street so many , many times drunk , stoned and sober ,,,that place was a big wake up call then in those days there was every kind of person u could meet from a to z it was fun.

Great to see the old footage thanks a bunch. At 10:08 where its says Mt Gravatt I am prety sure that is Old Cleveland Rd Belmont (Now Carina) facing East from the corner of Jones Rd. The Split Level Road is stiil there and I don't remember any part of Logan Road at Mt Gravatt that looked like that.
And here were are in 2023 being told to buy electric cars to "save the planet" and the Clem Joneses of our Day won't even consider putting trams or trolley buses back into Brisbane. We aren't developing as a society, we're disintergrating. Give me a time machine so I can go back to this period. Thanks for the lovely film and our history. Cheers.
The last time I rode on one of those tams was in 1969, when our church youth group hired one for a tram ride around Brisbane one night. The next year I would be riding on the train to and from college, and passing the Milton Tram workshops, with stacks of tram bodies, either waiting to be burned, or burning. And speaking of burning, I remember the night that the Paddington Tram Depot went up, lighting up the sky and clearly visible from Indooroopilly. I have to ask you, is Brisbane better off without the trams? Personally, I think not.
Imagine if they repurposed those old train carrages and trams as houses as shipping containers today. Alot of people would have start off homes especialy when the floads washed away homes or people with ablock of land and no home.
