If not we need to stick to Rafale or Typhoon with ToT which will fasten AMCA timeline as well. If we want 5th gen only and F35 is not available, Su 57 is the only choice. Russia is struggling to produce Su 57 in decent numbers, so it may affect delivery timeline for India. Local assembly can help, but i doubt whether Russia will do any meaningful ToT. 3. Chinese equipment in Su 57 is a threat. China who is our enemy is known for adding bugging device. So in the time of war, there is possibility of sabotage. So it is strictly no. Can Russia replace Chinese equipment is big question as it depends China more than any time earlier if we can bypass this challenges and F35 is not available and satisfied with Su 57, we should scrap MRFA and go with Su 57 in higher numbers. There is no point in adding one more jet with smaller quantity which will make it logistics nightmare.
there is no resolution. Chayna is just playing games of de-escalating it when it suits its interests. The reason is US is getting ready for war with China in 2025/6 and it wants to focus on that.
Instead of betting everything on AMCA we should have a Workhorse fighter jet like f15 for USA. In a war 5th gen fighters are severely limited by their arsenal and can only be useful for removing anti aircraft defenses after that any bomber or Attack fighterjet will be more useful and easy to operate
SU-57 and RAFALE F4 both are very good excellence. SU-57 better in engine, range and stealth and RAFALE F4 better in avionics, agility and upgradability. IAF needs to set their buying parameters right before acquiring SU-57 instead of RAFALE F4. The government might not spend more in 4-5 years if SU-57 are acquired instead of RAFALE F4. Acquiring any jets now might see no other jet deal in at least 4-5 years, just maybe engine deals only, so decision remains on IAF's necessity.
Only 36 seriously? 🤦♂️ just take this under mrfa project instead of just 36 fighters . Wee required more than 75 fighters. If we go with mrfa 114 jets that would be a big boost to the IAF.

1. With US sanctions it will be difficult to procure these jets. We have to work with US to get exception. Not sure whether US will allow that.
Can Russia replace Chinese equipment is big question as it depends China more than any time earlier
if we can bypass this challenges and F35 is not available and satisfied with Su 57, we should scrap MRFA and go with Su 57 in higher numbers. There is no point in adding one more jet with smaller quantity which will make it logistics nightmare.
Chinese equipment in su57? Name a single equipment😂
@@SomeGuy-yb3sl Then what, you ask me provide design of Su 57? China supplies chips to russian equipment is known secret

@@prakat1082 China withdraws to pre-2020 position...
😂😂
36+24 followon should be good Su57 with Indian modification
👍🏻🌹
Russia is not able to deliver s400 in time and do you think IAF is day dreaming that SU57 will be delivered in time?
Su57 order will start after 2028 and by then war will have ended
SU-57 and RAFALE F4 both are very good excellence. SU-57 better in engine, range and stealth and RAFALE F4 better in avionics, agility and upgradability. IAF needs to set their buying parameters right before acquiring SU-57 instead of RAFALE F4. The government might not spend more in 4-5 years if SU-57 are acquired instead of RAFALE F4. Acquiring any jets now might see no other jet deal in at least 4-5 years, just maybe engine deals only, so decision remains on IAF's necessity.
At least 110 SU 57 we need not less

India can never acquire su 57 because us will stop delivering f404 engines.
India should not waste money on Su-57 instead invest more in AMCA..no body is going at war with India in next 20 years...
American fanboys are always at heights of stupidity
i wish the money will go into TEDBF and ORCA.
@@mth469 whatever but the money should go in indigenous projects
What a confusion. Tomorrow this regime in center will ask IAF to take on the contemparies with Mig 29.
All hell is broken.👍👍👍👍
We will have the AMCA when everyone else has 6th generation fighters
Only 36 seriously? 🤦♂️ just take this under mrfa project instead of just 36 fighters . Wee required more than 75 fighters. If we go with mrfa 114 jets that would be a big boost to the IAF.
IDU is more interested in SU57 than IAF or Indian government, who have first hand knowledge of the FGFA program 🙂
Hahaha
Many IAF veterans have wrote about su57 procurement. Many reports suggested that modi had talks of su57 with putin during russia visit in july but details were kept confidential. Now details are coming out after modi visit to russia again.
If the Su57 is priced at one- fourth that of a Rafale, why not go for 3 squadrons of the Russian fighter? ("Quantity has a quality of it's own"). Dassault is smart at price gouging and needs a warning shot across the bows. A 'multi-national' fleet is an unfortunate legacy for the IAF, to be remedied only when the 'Maharatna' begins to deliver on time!
first who told that it is priced 1/4th of Rafale? Lot of people compare fully equipped Rafale with weapons and with india specific modification and maintenance package with barebone Su 57 which is not correct
@@vaimurthy What is the (appx) price differential at similar equipment level (or barebones) between the two aircraft?
@@ak-rx1ui We dont know about that in Su 57 case as it is not yet offered officially

True, only challenge is availability of F35 to us. If it is available, we should go with F35 which is best 5th gen with cheaper price

First
Su57 with latest engine is a lethal aircraft. With so much orders for hal I doubt the order should've been 36 + 36 su57. It all depends on hal when the amca will roll out. If delayed the orders will go to Russia or France. Good luck.
We should get MRFA cancelled and order 72 su57-M with the same funding, why settle for only 36. AMCA will come after 2040 only. We have at least 16 years gap😇
@@Stealthy-Gurugetting nervous?
@@Stealthy-Guru For CCP bros that is okay. Only western jets will impact indigenous jets, not Russian.
These people has only two things, support Russian jets or imaginary timeline of indigenous AMCA. When Russian equipment news comes, they will say AMCA wont be ready. When western jet news comes, they would say why do we need to buy AMCA is going to be ready in next few years
@@Stealthy-Guru True. Import from US is bad, but import from Russia is good and that will not impact domestic capability.
@@vaimurthy as some guy says- kid always getting sympathy from stepfather😂😂😂 the report says 36 su57 only as a stop gap measure till AMCA arrives

its 4.5 gen

Is this a joke better not buy 36 is nothing for 5th gen fighter we need atleast 114 so atleast 76 will be available anytime
Makes sense but we need AMCA also
@@SomeGuy-yb3sl yes but buying 114 jets not gonna sacrifice amca anyway coz amca won't come before 2035 and won't be fully available for Production before 2040 so by then we will have even su30 mki older generations retiring as only 80-90 su 30 mki will undergo upgradation rest will be replaced or retired and we can easily update our requirements for 5th gen fighter to even 300 as china is going to induct over 1000 j20 so we definitely gonna need to upgrade our squardens to more than 45 and our economy will be much bigger too
